A awkward silence feel between the two of them. Lucinda stood there looking at the ground, holding back her tears. Melissa was looking for the right words to say to her. But nothing came to mind. It was as though her words were stuck in her throat. "Lucinda.. I" Melissas words were intruded when her phone rang. "You should answer that... it could be important." Lucinda said weakly. "R-right..." Melissa pulled her phone out of her back pocket and answer the phone. "H-hello?" She answered, still a little shaken up form Lucinda's words. Though she didn't say anything mean or hurtful.. it was the way she asked the question. "Melissa you there?" A voiced asked. "Umm y-yah! I'm here.. sorry just.. umm.. l-lost in thought." She cleared her throat. "W-who is this?" She asked. "Ummm... your landlord?! Man you are forgetful." Melissa eyes widened. "Oh..umm... is something w-wrong?!" Lucinda notices Melissa shift of tone. Melissa walked out of her room. Curious, Lucinda wondered who was calling her. "I guess I could.. no! No! It's her business not mine..." Lucinda thought to her self. "But... on the other hand... I can't really help overhearing conversation at the moment." Lucinda walked closer to the door to hear the conversation. "No! I swear I did! I have it to you last week." Melissa's voice was shaking. "Well entire you find 300 dollars right now, or you get kicked out right now." The other person yelled on the other side of the phone. Then hung up. Melissa sighed and slid down the wall. "Now what..." She mumbled. "They're on some kind of trip and I'm about to be homeless." Melissa forgot where she was for a moment. Lucinda slowly walked out of the room. "H-hey... Umm... I couldn't help but o-o-overhear... I-is everything o-ok?" Melissa sighed. "Kinda.... my landlord claims that my rent didn't get through... now I'm about to be homeless. I would ask my parents but...I don't w..want to rely on them to much.." Lucinda sat next to her. "What do you mean? I-If you don't mind me asking." Melissa chuckled. I had my life together! But then-" Melissa cut her self off before she finished the sentence. Lucinda was hesitant about asking what happened. "I've been going on a rant! Sorry... I should go and try and figure out something." Melissa started to get up. Lucinda followed her. "Are you sure you don't need any- ahh!" Lucinda's sentence was interrupted when a high pitch noise was made. "Lucinda? Are you ok?" Melissa asked. Lucinda covered her ears. "No! How can you not hear that noise! Gah! It's so loud!" Melissa thought for a second. "I don't hear anything right now, what does it sound like?" Lucinda couldn't hear her. "Where's that coming form?!" She yelled. Melissa looked around. She didn't see anything that was making a noise. That's when she noticed Lucinda was covering her werewolf ears. "It must be a dog whistle! But... how come I can't hear it?" She thought. Lucinda ran into her room and grabbed a pillow. She covered her ears with to to numb the sound. "Lucinda you know you look stupid like that right?" Melissa joked. "I don't care! If it numbs the noise then I'm glad!" She then heard a camera snap. "I know you did not just-" "Hmm... I think I will post this!" Lucinda immediate stood up straight. "DON'T YOU DARE!!" "You'll have to caught me then!" Melissa yelled, running out of the room. Lucinda followed her. She ran down the stairs. Melissa giggled has Lucinda shouted. She quickly hid in one of her cabinets. "Where did you go?!" Lucinda shouted. Melissa tired to hold in her giggles. Lucinda walked past her. Melissa carefully and quietly walked away form her. She looked at the photo. She quickly saved it to the cloud so she would have it for later. She felt her cheeks heat up as she looked at Lucinda. She smiled. "There you are!" Lucinda shouted. Melissa jumped at her voice. "But you get used to it after awhile." Lucinda thought for a moment then looked out her window. "It's almost New Years right?" Melissa nodded. "Yah, I guess Christmas was a few days ago. But I'm probably not going to do anything special." My family is never really around and Aaron has aphmau so. Not to mention I'll properly just end up staying there because of my whole rent situation." "Well.. if you want.." Lucinda said, think for a moment. "Y-you can- c-can stay with me..." she felt her face heat up a little. Even though she knew how she felt about her, she didn't want to seam rude and act like she doesn't care. Melissa looked at her. Katelyn yelled at Kawaii Chan from behind her. "You mean to tell me Kawaii Chan! That you made me run over here just to see Lucinda- and apparently Aaron's older sister?" Kawaii Chan squealed. "I knew it!" Lucinda's faced turned more red. She quickly hid behind the cough. "I don't want anyone else to know about my ears and tail!" Lucinda whispered to Melissa. Melissa nodded. "Were is Lucinda Chan anyway?" Kawaii Chan asked. "Yah she was just here." Katelyn added on. "Ummm... s-she was... however... I need you two to leave and.....fix the door!" Could be a virus and we don't want anyone else getting sick." "Wait?! Why are you here then? Is she so sick?" Katelyn crossed her arms. Melissa panicked for a second. "She's here because she recently just had the flu Katelyn! I would have called you or someone else but, why would I call someone health to help me is they could get sick in the process?! Also why are you questioning me and my decision? It's my life not yours! Now both you and Kawaii Chan get out before you get sick!" Lucinda yelled at them and throw a pillow from behind the couch. Katelyn and Kawaii Chan were token back by this. "Lucinda... i'm sorry.. I-I didn't mean to upset you.." Katelyn said softly. Lucinda growled. "Well you did Katelyn! Now both you and Kawaii Chan get out now!" Melissa sat there shocked. "Did.. she just... g-growl?" Katelyn and Kawaii Chan looked at each other then back at Melissa. "Melissa? Are you sure she's ok?" Melissa whispered. Lucinda muttered something under her breath. "Just.. get them out of here! N-now!" Melissa nodded. "Lucinda needs to rest. So.. could you please leave? I will fix the door, don't worry about it. The longer you stay the more sick you could get." Kawaii Chan shook her head and headed home. "Katelyn sama! Come on! We've already caused them enough trouble." Katelyn stood still. She knew Lucinda would never act like this. Lucinda quickly got up and ran. "Hu?! L-Lucinda! Come back!" Melissa yelled.
