A small-town love about a poor-lived girl with no parents and an overall sad life. She has a crush on a boy a year older than her from her high school who works at her school-owned library. She spends a lot of time there to see him and because she herself is such a bookworm and it's her save heaven.

The teen girl deals with a lot of anxiety and depression as well as panic attacks which no one understands. Her parents died when she was younger and lives with her single aunt. She is misjudged and treated badly by other students and even teachers because of her looks and status. She tries her best to fit in and pass everything with flying colors but sometimes it's too much for her. 

Because of her life and all the things that have and keep going wrong, sometimes it's hard for her to find the will to live. To make matters worst sometimes she is called crazy and that her feelings are nonexistent when she tries to ask for help. So sometimes she does things that have the possibility of possibly killing her. It's never stright forward where she has tried to commit suicide, because weather she liked it or not she feared death and didn't want to die yet. 

That was until something happened. 

She is diagnosed with a very rare heart disease that has no cure to it. Her doctor said he can give her as much time as he can by prescribing pills to her but the truth was that she is dying and there is nothing that can change that. He said it was a matter of time before her time ran out but she at least had a few months maybe at most a year. She takes the pills and runs out of there. 

She spends a few days really depressed and has panic attacks on a daily and one day she decided to take her life but is stopped by a classmate that has been watching her for a few weeks now. He notices her and starts to worry one day when she doesn't return from the bathroom since she wasn't one to use a school bathroom either way.  Since he was dealing with the same issues as hers and was getting help, he relates to her and saves her life. He decided to make a deal with her, and they both become friends after that. They help each other get better. She however doesn't tell him about her disease and that she will die either way in a few months. 

This interaction motivates her nonetheless and a few days later she decided to be confident and bold for once and ask her crush that works at the library out. He says yes having had a crush on her for a few years now as well. Her bathroom friend is happy for her and helps her get ready before driving her to the coffee date. Everything turns out good and they both find out they have a lot of things in common and are compatible in many ways than one. 

Her bathroom friend then decided to have a chat with her crush behind her back a few days later in school, having had a class with him he took that chance to make things as clear as ice. The friend kind of threats him to not hurt her or else he will kill him and whatnot. And since he was a big dude with tattoos he believed him and was undoubtedly scared of him from then on. He nonetheless acted chill like he wasn't scared because of his ego and said he wouldn't hurt her because he really liked her. The crush acted chill but on the inside was scared all throughout the chat. At the end of it, he thought how someone like him could be friends with someone like her since she was very nice and laidback while he was very intense and scary. 

When she finds out what happens she acts chill and doesn't really care for it, taking it as a sign that he cares for her. He finds it nice and get's a warm feeling for having a friend like him. Thinking how she wish she had been friends with him from the beginning. Her crush invites her and her friend to sit with him at lunch. She gets very anxious about the whole thing but agrees nonetheless.
