S O O Y O U N G

With too much happening in the past few weeks, we didn't notice that Christmas was just around the corner.

Today is December 24th and I am out with Jinsol and Haseul in the grocery to buy the needed ingredients for what we are going to cook later. We decided to have a mini simple celebration of a Christmas party at home. Kahei unnie and Jungeun are at home with the kids and Jiwoo whose probably decorating the living room.

After the day that our friends knew about everything, they always go to our home and spent their time there. Sometimes I would just be shocked that they are sitting down by the sofa and chatting with each other.

"Which ham? This one or that one?" Jinsoul asked pointing out two different kinds of ham.

"That one's better, this one doesn't taste good." Haseul said.

Jinsol then put the ham in the cart and we continued to walk around the grocery store.

"Are you having Christmas dinner with your mom and Sunmi unnie later?" Jinsol asked and I shakes my head.

"We'll have dinner tomorrow." I answered.

Mom, Sunmi unnie, and Mr. Kim will be coming over tomorrow night for our family dinner. We were supposed to dine out tomorrow but then we disregard that idea as it was safer for us to do it at home.

Mj might just be around and we don't know what he might do.

We have no clue where he is right now. There are no signs of him everywhere. He's probably thinking of a plan by now or hiding somewhere for him not to be arrested.

I badly want to punch him in the face and do the things he did to Jiwoo and Hyeju.

Mj was a sweet person but of course, he hides all his bitterness.

"Let's go." Jinsol said after we paid for everything.

We headed back home and were welcomed by our kids.

"Hm? Did you two eat chocolate?" I asked Hyunjin and Hyeju.

"No mama." They said, completely lying.

"Little liars, you both have chocolate on your faces. Didn't mommy tell you not to eat chocolate before dinner?"

"But she allowed us." Hyunjin reasoned out.

I told them to wash their faces and I walked upstairs to Jiwoo and I's room.

Yes, she's sleeping in my room. Nights ago, Jiwoo knocked on my door and told me she couldn't sleep and I let her sleep in my room. After more nightmares, I told her to just move into my room and she did.

"Oh, you're back." Jiwoo said.

"Hey, yeah. Did you take a shower?" I asked a dumb question when it was clear she took a shower because she has a towel wrapped around her hair.

"Yeah, I sweat a lot earlier so I freshen up." She said.

"You should rest, you must be tired from decorating." I said and she shook her head.

"I'm not tired, Kahei unnie and Jungeun won't even let me do anything." She complained cutely making me giggle.

The room door opened showing the twins who ran up the bed and started to jump up and down.

"Mama... Aunt Jinsol said... Go down... Now... Cook." Hyeju said in between her jumps.

I carried the twins and we all go downstairs together.

"Yow! Ha fam! Smile!" Jinsol shouted making all of us look at her.

She was holding a camera and signaling for us to smile. She took a photo and gave me the polaroid after.

"Mama, let's put it in our photo album." Hyunjin said and the twins pulled me into their room where we put the photo album.

They want the albums to be in their room, so no one would see their photos except us.

After putting the polaroid in the album, I headed back down to help in the kitchen.

After cooking and setting up everything, we all prepared ourselves by changing into a new set of clothes.

The kids badly want to have a pajama party for this year's Christmas so we give what they want.

Jungeun, Jinsol, and their kids are wearing matching red pajamas. Kahei unnie, Haseul, and their kids are wearing matching light pink pajamas. Me, Jiwoo, and the twins are also wearing matching peach color pajamas.

"Sooyoung cooks the worst." Jinsol said and I raised my eyebrow at her.

We are currently eating our dinner and we are debating who cooks best and worst.

"Don't lie Sol, Yerimie is having her second plate of carbonara, I cook best." I said.

"Uhuh, Hyunjin's also having her second plate of spaghetti." Jinsol fights back.

After the debate, we all agreed that Kahei unnie cooks the best and no one cooks the worst.

"Time for gift opening!" Jungeun shouted.

The kids stopped what they were doing and ran as fast as they could toward the living room.

"Are you enjoying?" I asked Jiwoo when I sat down beside her.

"I am, it is nice to experience a lively Christmas again." She said and smiled.

"How about you? Are you enjoying?" She asked back.

"Of course, I am enjoying Christmas more than how I enjoyed the previous one." I said.

"So? Is this your best Christmas?"

"It is."

"Why?"

I took a glance at our kids before looking back at her.

"That's because we're complete. You're here, Hyunjin's here, and Hyeju's here. Our friends are also here, plus, mom, Sunmi unnie, and your dad is coming over tomorrow night. I have my family with me." I said.

"Yow lovebirds! Have your own world later. It's exchanging gift time!" Haseul said making me and Jiwoo look at every one.

We let the kids go first to give their gifts to the one who they got picked on and we all soon followed.

"Mommy! Mama! Look! I got a giant wolf from Yeojinie!" Hyeju happily said showing the gift she got.

"Aunt Jinsol got me cat toys." Hyunjin said not really looking happy right now.

I chuckled and patted their heads.

"Whatever gifts you girls got, you should be thankful, okay?" I told them and they nodded their heads.

The night continues and we all fix and set up the twin's room for the kids to rest in.

"Good night!"

Heading inside our room, I took out a small box from my blazer that is hanging from the rack.

"Merry Christmas Wooming." I said and gave my gift to Jiwoo.

"Huh? But I don't have a gift for you."

"That's fine, you're already a gift Jiwoo."

Help! Why does writer's block come to me when the book is nearing the end? Anyway, school is back again so I'll probably update really slow especially since we're having face-to-face classes again. I'll update whenever I can, promise!
