Volume 1 : Chapter 2 (School Rules)

Takazaki POV:

I looked back after hearing the voice of the beige-haired girl whom I assisted on the bus.

She was approaching me with a huge smile on her face.

*Sigh* I need to relax.

I took a deep breath to prepare myself for the nearing conversation.

"Hi! I can't thank you enough for what you did back then!" She said while bowing down." I was about to step-in to help that ill-fated lady. But you helped her instead!" She exclaimed by initiating conversation with me while keeping a radiant smile.

By looks only, I could determine that she will probably be the most popular girl in the grade. It wouldn't be an understatement to say that she might be the most popular girl in the whole school.

What are the odds?! Why did my first encounter had to be with her?! I couldn't even fathom myself becoming as popular as her, being the kind of person I am. Well, she is way off my league and I am pretty sure it was necessary for me to get used to that fact.

Anyhow, I should keep the conversation going. If I don't stop my train of thought now, I wouldn't be able to converse with her properly. Anyone will be able to tell by looking at my face that I was being inattentive. I didn't want any kind of awkwardness between us, so I decided to respond to her.

"O-oh, Please don't worry about it. Frankly speaking, I just wanted the commotion to end, so you can say that I just took the necessary actions for that to happen" I replied while laughing nervously.

"Mm Mm" She said while shaking her head and keeping her smile intact. "I think you are just being humble. I can sort of tell those things about a person you know? After all, you saved me from my fall as well." Her smile grew wider as she continued to compliment me for my actions earlier in the bus.

Honestly! ...

This girl is dangerous for my heart. Seriously, my heart is pounding like a jackhammer. She might have heard it. I know what I am thinking is probably just an exaggeration, but I was extremely nervous. I couldn't help it.

"Anyways, my name is Kikyou Kushida. I am in class D at this school. It's a pleasure to meet you!" She said as she introduced herself to me.

Kushida huh? I can sort of imagine 'Kushida' being engraved on the hearts of majority of boys in the school in a few days...Wait.. she is in class D??!!

Oh no. Once more, my thoughts are straying from the subject. I should take a deep breath and properly introduce myself. I don't want my social life to suffer, after all. From now on, I should at least answer appropriately when having a conversion with anyone. It was a necessary trait to possess in order to avoid making a social 'faux pas', as it is known.

"H-hello Kushida-San. I am Shindou Takazaki and I am in class D as well. Its a pleasure to meet you too" I said while scratching my head nervously.

"Takazaki-kun. So we are in the same class. Wow! what a coincidence?! I hope we get along Takazaki-kun." She stated joyfully along with her beaming smile.

Oh my God!! She is soo cute!

"Y-yeah me too Kushida-San" I responded to her in a meekly manner.

"Then I'll see you in the class, Takazaki-kun" I just stood there like an idiot when she said that to me.

After that, we parted our ways as she made her way to the school ahead of me. I, on the other hand was curious to see something happening near the school entrance as I heard a girl speaking. For a moment, I thought.. Is she calling out to me?
