Takazaki POV:

After Chiyabashira-sensei left the class, It was clearly visible that many of my classmates were taken aback by the large number of points.

"This school is extremely lenient, isn't it?" My black-haired seatmate said. For a moment, I thought that she was talking to me. But as it turned out, she was speaking to the brown-haired boy besides her.

On the surface, it appeared to be true. Despite all of the restrictions, such as being forced to live in the dorms, forbidden from leaving campus, and forbidden from contacting anyone on the outside, no one seemed to have any complaints. In fact, you could argue that we'd been treated so well that it was as if we'd been transported to paradise. Of course, the most impressive statistic for the Advanced Nurturing High School was its near-100 percent placement rate for students advancing to higher education or entering the workforce. But I knew for a fact that something fishy was going on. I was well aware that the school wouldn't just casually give out 560 million per year considering that there were about 160 people enrolled in my grade. Even for a government-sponsored school, that amount seemed excessive.

"This is almost too much preferential treatment. It's frightening." So you realize that too huh? I mumbled softly after hearing my black-haired seatmate. I chose not to respond to her statement verbally and instead kept it to myself.

"Hmm?" When I turned to look at her, I noticed she was looking at me intently. I think she might have heard me. Or maybe not.

"Hey Hey! Do you want to go shopping with me on our way back? Let's go shopping!" exclaimed one of the girls.

"Sure. We can buy anything with this amount. I'm so glad I got into this school!" said another.

I could hear the newly rich students began to grow restless in the background.

"You-" As soon as my black-haired seatmate began to speak..

"Everyone, can you please listen to me for a moment?" A student with the demeanor of a well-mannered young man quickly raised his hand and voiced his opinion. It was Hirata. Just from his appeareance, I could tell that he was an honors student. Evidently, he interrupted my seatmate with black hair just as she was about to speak. It seems you simply have a lousy timing seatmate-san.

"We're all going to be classmates starting today. Therefore, I believe it would be beneficial for us to get to know one another and make friends as soon as possible. What do you guys think?" Hirata brought up the idea and casually shared it with the class. His attitude made it clear that his goal was to enhance the sense of camaraderie among the students.

He'd just accomplished something incredible. The majority of students were absorbed in their thoughts and were unable to speak up.

"Agreed! After all, we still don't know a thing about each other, not even our names," someone shouted.

After the ice had broken, the previously hesitant students began to speak.

"That's a great idea!" Other person said.

"Then, let me introduce myself first. I did'nt introduce myself properly a couple of minutes ago, so I'll do it again. My name's Hirata Yousuke. Back in junior high, lots of people called me Yousuke. Feel free to use my first name! I guess my hobby is sports in general, but I especially like soccer. I'm planning on playing soccer here, too. Nice to meet you!" Maybe I'll make friends with him. He seems like a nice guy. I think.

With his effortless introduction, I was certain that Hirata would become our class's keystone, and I wondered if he'd be able to keep every one of us honest and inspired until graduation. His personality was accurately reflected in his actions.
