Chapter 21

HUNTER

As I entered my office, a grin flashed over my face. I was pretty careful when handling the USB drive that had the video from the hidden camera. And after a bit, it will indeed cause Gerald's world to be turned upside down. I will make sure he feels the pain that Trinity and I have suffered.

"Hunter, won't you stop walking? Haven't you felt dizzy? You are a pain in the neck. My head is aching because of what you are doing," Crystal expresses her frustrations to me.

I just ignored her, but instead, I grinned again as I visualized his face of Gerald. Every time I think about what might happen in the following hours, I can't help but crack a victorious grin.

"Where on Earth are you, Hunter? I'm worried because you might suddenly get dizzy later, and your plans will break down and turn ashes. Just sit down, please," she pleaded with me.

When the door suddenly opened, and it knocked on one of my colleagues, I came to a stop in the middle of my leisurely walk. He stopped for a moment, glanced at me with worry, and then turned his full attention.

"I'm sorry, Hunter, but there's bad news. Trinity was driving towards this place. Then suddenly, someone blocked her path and dragged her into their van. They said that those people were wearing a black hoodie. We were about to help, but they suddenly started shooting us," he frantically told me.

As soon as I heard what he stated, I instantly started cursing. The USB drive I had been playing with earlier is now safely stored on the table, and I hurriedly took the gun from its closet space. Trinity's presence at this place is entirely due to my demand; hence, I would bear full responsibility for any harm that may happen to her.

"Crystal, you will be responsible for taking care of this place. I must give those people a lesson for trying to harm the woman who owns my heart. I can't let this pass and move on. I'm going to look at them and kill them as soon as possible," I explained.

I was on the verge of leaving when all of a sudden, Crystal stood in my way. Her expression showed she was worried, but I didn't give a damn. Her face was concerned, but I didn't care. Trinity needed my protection, not hers.

"Please, Hunter, stay here with us. We need you here because other syndicates can take advantage of your actions. Hunter, let her go. Trinity can handle her situation. We can't afford to lose you because you are the head of this organization," Crystal begged me to listen to her.

I was taken aback by how fast my anger began to boil in reaction to what she had said. I had no control over my punch, which went straight for her face. She was caught off guard, which caused her confusion as she looked at me.

What gives, Hunter? What benefits did she have over me that I did lack? All I had was removed entirely to satisfy you, and my dignity was damaged. I have given every moment of my life to you, so why can you still not love me? Hunter, let's find a solution. We can continue to live our lives in the same way as before," she tearfully complained to me.

She even got on her knees to beg me, but I didn't feel any pity for her situation. No one told her to take off and give all she had to me, so I did not need to show sympathy toward her. It wasn't because I loved her that I went with her; instead, it was because I needed something.

"I am warning you that if something bad happens to Trinity, I will kill you brutally and do whatever to destroy you. I'm going to kill you myself, so don't waste my time because I am in a hurry," I firmly said to her.

She continued to ignore what I had to say, so I had no choice but to punch her in the face. Because of what I had done, she was partially lying on the floor, and I decided to take advantage of the situation by leaving the office as quickly as possible.
