Chapter 18

TRINITY

As I looked at Hunter's face, I couldn't stop laughing. When I suddenly walked into Bea's store, it looked like he saw a ghost. Bea called me earlier to tell me to come here, so I did.

"What gave you a reason to be startled by that? Does that make you miss me any less, even my burning body? I'm sorry, but you've got in touch on that path since you'd rather spend time with Crystal than with me," I said.

I went in the direction of Bea, but I walked behind Hunter while walking. After I had reached within a few steps of him, I quickly pretended to trip and fall so that my body would collide with his chest.

It seemed as though time slowed down as Hunter gently patted me to lift me and carry me in his arms. The two of us were looking at each other, and for some reason, my heart immediately burst into this feeling that I can't explain.

"You should get a room, and please don't create any moan in my shop while I'm struggling to work. Trinity is a model; you can afford to rent a room elsewhere. So, leave me alone, and get out of here!" Bea exclaimed to us.

I was the first to snap out of it and quickly get to my feet after almost falling out. I distanced myself from him by walking a few steps away and maintaining one meter between us. I was taken aback by what he did because I had not expected it.

"Bea, doesn't it take much to put some control on your mouth? Not all models have money, like me. It's just a short-term job, and I haven't received my last salary yet," I explained and gave her a sharp eye.

I fixed my dress and brushed my soft hair with my fingers. I also adjusted my poise before smiling at both of them.

"I'm sorry to bother you, but I must leave now. Bea, thank you so much for inviting me. I'm attending a big party because I'm one of their models. I don't want to be late. See you again!" I explained to Bea before turning around.

I had a feeling that Hunter would call me, and I didn't make a mistake. He suddenly called my name when I had taken only a few steps away from him.

"Trinity, please hold on a second. Just give some attention to what I have to say. Do you want to be able to hear the sound of my heart beating? I am not sure why, but the fear of losing you scares me with fear. Trinity, I guess I already love you," he said emotionally, which made me stop.

Because of what I heard; I slowed my walking for a little while. When I thought about it, my heart was pounding so fast. Again, my heart had been beating so fast. I cursed at myself over and over again because of this.

"I know you're mad at me because I haven't listened to you before. But here I am again, standing before you, and I want to ask for your forgiveness. Please think about giving me a second chance," he begged me to hear him out.

Even though it's a frigid place, I'm still breaking a sweat. Even though my heart is beginning to melt, I am persistent in not looking back at him. I have to show him that he made a mistake by leaving me so he will never do it again.

"Trinity, I still have the desire to go on missions with you. Because you've been a part of my life, I'm not going to go and stick to you. Come back, please. I needed you." The feeling was almost too much for him to handle this time, and he nearly broke down.

I couldn't take it any longer, so I started to get out of the store. He didn't look back at me when I called him, so that I wouldn't look back now. I need to be strong. Trinity, you can't look at him. Please!

I left the place and rushed to get into my car. There was nothing I could do to stop the tears from flowing down my cheeks. I closed the door immediately so I could release my frustration.
