3 months after Irene's death, the Araneta house is very different unlike before, the house that's been the happiest is now the saddest, Celestine is in her room reading book as always
When she heard a loud commotion coming from downstairs, Celestine immediately stand-up and run, as she run, she saw her father throwing a lot of things "DADDY" Celestine shouted as she stopped her father "ano ba bitawan mo nga ako" Greggy said to Celestine
Greggy is drunk and out of control, "daddy tama na please" Celestine pleaded but Greggy just pushed Celestine away "get out kung ayaw mong masaktan" Greggy shouted making Celestine flinch, he looked at Celestine with dark stare, if looks can kill, Celestine is probably dead right now
Celestine looked at Greggy with fear and anxiety in her eyes, she don't know what to do, she wanted to run in fear but her body can't as she remained petrified, she never saw Greggy this mad
"Daddy ano ba" Celestine cried and Greggy slapped her, "GREGGY" manang Ellen shouted and run to Celestine immediately "manang, umalis ka dito away mag-ama to" Greggy said and Celestine just looked at Ellen "hindi ko iiwan dito si Celestine, Greggy naman, alam kung nangungulila sa pagkamatay ni Irene, pero wag mo naman sanang ibuhos yung galit mo kay Celestine" Ellen said
"Kasalanan to ng batang yan, kung hindi dahil sa kanya sana buhay pa si Irene" Greggy said as he pointed his finger at Celestine "sana ikaw nalang yung namatay at hindi si Irene" He shouted making Celestine and Ellen shock on what he just said
"Sana pumayag nalang ako na ipaabort ka para buhay parin si Irene ngayon" Greggy added and Ellen slapped Greggy in the face, Ellen raised Greggy since he was a child and made a promise that she'll serve his family until her last breath
"Hindi na ikaw yung Greggy na pinalaki ko" Ellen said but Greggy just pulled Celestine "MANANG" Celestine shouted as Greggy pulled her "Daddy, please let me go nasasaktan ako" Celestine cried while trying to rip her arms away "masasaktan ka kung maglalaban ka" Greggy shouted as he pushed Celestine to her room and locked the door
"Daddy let me out please" Celestine cried as she began banging the door "HELP ME PLEASE, MANANG" Celestine shouted as she cried for help "H-help me" Celestine muttered as she sat down and cried on her knees
Somewhere in Cotabato, a girl named Irene Victoria Perez live in a small and populated city in Cotabato, "Irene, Anak tara na't mag-almusal tayo" Nanay Perlita said to her adopted daughter Irene, she found Irene unconscious beside a trash can 3 months ago
"Sige po nay, papunta na po ako" Irene said as she stared at her reflection in the mirror, a big scar is on her face, Irene was aware that she's just adopted, but somehow try to find her real family
"Ate Irene, pwede ba sumama sayo pag nag punta ka sa Maynila" Cassy asked her "Cassy ano ka ba, May pasok ka pa, isasama ko lang naman siya dahil naghahanap ng bagong katulong si Ellen para sa alaga niyang si Celestine" Perlita said and that caught Irene's attention
"Celestine, parang familiar yung name niya sa akin, sino siya" Irene asked her "nako pamangkin siya ng presidente, namatay na yung nanay niya, alam mo kamukha mo yung mommy niya, pero wala lang balat sa mukha yung mama niya" Perlita said
"Tsaka ano kaba ate Irene, hindi mo lang kamukha yung mama niya, kapangalan mo pa, teka lang nakatira ka ba sa ilalalim ng bato, kasi imposibleng walang makakilala sa kanya" Cassy said to her "kaya nga nay, gusto kong sumama sainyo eh, gusto ko makita si Celestine sa personal" Cassy said to her mom "Nako nay, isama nyo na si Cassy, pagbigyan na baka magwala pa siya dito" Irene said
"Ako mag wawala never" Cassy said as Irene tickle her "ate ano ba hahahaha" Cassy laughed as she run for her dear life
On the other hand, Celestine is still sobbing in her room, when she heard someone unlock it, she looked at the person and it's Greggy "A-anak" Greggy said but Celestine just avoided him "p-please don't hurt me daddy, I'm sorry if mommy died because of me" Celestine cried while shaking in fear
"L-look a-anak, what I did and said earlier, I didn't mean any of those I'm just drunk, hindi ko na nacontrol yung sarili ko" Greggy said as he hugged Celestine but she just avoided him, Greggy saw the bruise on her face
He tried to touch Celestine's face, but she avoided him "let's have dinner na anak" he said to Celestine, he truly regretted what he did earlier, he never thought that he'll hurt Celestine that way
Celestine just stand up and leave Greggy alone in her room, she went down the stairs and she saw Ellen fixing the dining area, "manang what's the ulam" Celestine asked her "pinaluto ni daddy mo yung paborito mong kaldereta, kumain ka na dito" Ellen said and Greggy sat beside Celestine
"Join us manang" Celestine offered and Ellen looked at Greggy first "oo nga manang, you're part of the family kaya join us, boring naman kung kaming dalawa lang yung kakain dito" Greggy said to Ellen, she sat in an empty chair "oo nga pala, Greggy, yung pinsan ko from Cotabato, bukas na yung dating kasama yung bago nyong katulong" Ellen break the ice of silent
"Ah sige po, ano daw po yung pangalan nung bagong katulong" Celestine asked her while eating her kaldereta "Irene daw yung pangalan" Ellen said making Greggy and Celestine choked at their drinks, "alam ko yang iniisip nyo, hindi siya si Irene ok, probinsiyana yung babae" Ellen said while eating "oh" that's all what Celestine said
"I'll be at the garden" Celestine said after finishing her food, Celestine walked out and went to her mother's secret garden, she closed the gate and sat on a swing as she watched the fireflies fly around, she looked at the moon and she let her tears flow
"My sun, I'm sorry I didn't watch your sunset kanina, nagalit si daddy eh" Celestine said as she looked at the sky "how are you there with papa macoy, I miss you so much mommy, please magparamdam ka kahit ngayon lang" Celestine said while crying
"Anak" She heard a voice behind her back, she turned around and it's Greggy "why are you here" Celestine asked coldly "let me guess you're here to lecture me again right, o kaya you're here para kaladkarin ako at ikulong sa kwarto right" Celestine cried
"Did you know, kahit wala kami sa good terms ni mommy, ni minsan hindi niya ako ikinulong sa room ko" Celestine said but Greggy remained silent "leave me alone" Celestine said "ana-" she cutted him off "I said leave me alone" she shouted that's why Greggy choose to leave than to anger her more
Celestine shouted as she cried "MOMMY, I NEED YOU HERE RIGHT NOW, I'M SURE YOU WANT ME TO BE WITH YOU RIGHT, GUSTO MO SUMUNOD AKO SA INYO NI PAPA MACOY" Celestine cried as she sat on the bench and sobs on her knees
