Like mother like daughter, that is how Imee describe her niece, as she watched how Celestine judge Bettany, "Celestine please be kind" Greggy said calmly and Celestine rolled her eyes "I'm being kind daddy, mommy taught me how to be kind, isn't being honest considered as being nice" Celestine said and Imee smirked at Celestine's remark
"Yes I know but you don't have to use that tone, nakakahiya kay Bettany" Greggy said "kung nakakahiya pala bakit nyo siya pinapunta dito, she isn't even welcome at MY mother's House" Celestine said as she emphasized the word Mother
"I'm sorry about her Betty" Greggy apologies "No Greggy it's fine, kagaya nga ng sabi nila kung ano yung puno siya rin yung bunga" Bettany sassily said "you're right, kung maldita yung nanay ko pwes mas maldita ako" Celestine retorted and Imee choked on her wine
Greggy shook his head in disapproving way and Imee noticed it immediately "Alam mo, siguro Celestine kung buhay si mommy mo, siguro tumawag na siya ng animal control at pinaalis yung umaaligid na ahas dito sa pamamahay nyo" Imee said to her niece, She don't like Bettany at all, before even Imee and Tommy separated
Bettany has been flirting with Imee's ex husband "that's what I thought also, I mean who cares wala ring silbi dahil nakakapasok parin" Celestine said to her while glancing at Bettany "anyway, Bettany can you like fix your posture while eating wag kang payukoyuko na parang kuba pag nakain kasi nakakawalang gana" Imee said as Bettany straightened her posture because she have no time to embarrass herself especially when Imee knew a lot of things about her
On the other hand, Irene is watching the four of them in the kitchen "ano ba yan bakit ba dinala pa ni Greggy yang haliparot na yan dito sa bahay" Manang Ellen said "bakit po, sino ba siya" Irene asked her
"Childhood bestfriend siya ni Greggy, pero naging isa siya sa kabit ni Tommy, yung dating asawa ni Imee, walang tiwala sa kanya si Irene kaya hindi maganda ang pakikitungo sa kanya ni Imee at Irene" Ellen said as she fold the table napkins
"Grabe ang cool talaga ni Celestine at senator Imee, like sobra talaga" Cassy said while wiping the plates "Oo nga mukha siyang anghel sa totoo lang pero may pagkamaldita rin pala" Irene said and Ellen chuckled "believe me Irene, kilala ko pagkabata si Celestine, mabait talaga siya pero pag nagsalita siya, totoo lahat ng sinasabi niya mana yata yan kay Imee at Irene" Ellen said and Irene smiled when she heard it
"Alam mo kahit may pagkamaldita minsan si Celestine, mabait na bata yan, talagang tinuruan lang siya ng mommy niya wag mag patalo kahit kanino" Ellen added "pero totoo po ba yung chismis na strict si Ma'am Irene kay Celestine" Cassy asked Ellen "yes, Irene is strict when it comes to her daughter, pero may reason siya, hindi dahil gusto niya maging perpekto yung anak niya, she just wanted her daughter not to get embarrassed at hindi ikumpara sa ibang tao" Ellen said to them
"Ang sarap siguro maging anak si Celestine noh" Irene said to her "nako, sinabi mo pa, hindi ako binigyan ng anak ng diyos, kaya tinuring ko na naparang anak si Celestine, medyo may pagka maattidute nga lang" Ellen said "alam nyo po, baklang-bakla na talaga ako sa kanya" Cassy said and Irene laughed at her
"Why totoo naman ah" Cassy said "sabi ko loyal ako kay Sandro, pero kay Celestine lang pala ang bagsak" Cassy said "Sorry ka nalang kasi, simula't sapol, kay Marco na si Celestine, despite yung nangyari nung nakaraang taon, hindi parin sumusuko si Marco" Ellen said
"Ano ba yan, taken na pala bias ko" Cassy said sadly "anong taken, eh binasted nga ni Celestine si Marco diba tita Ellen" Irene said and Ellen looked at her shock, "paano mo nalaman yan, walang may alam nyan kundi family and friends lang" Ellen asked her in shock "hindi ko po alam, basta nalang siya pumasok sa utak ko" Irene said and Ellen looked at her oddly
"BWISIT" they heard a sudden shout "Celestine ano ba kumalma ka nga" Ellen said and Imee followed Celestine "paano ako kakalma eh nawalan ako ng gana sa pagkain dahil sa epal na yun" Celestine annoyingly said to Ellen "Nako mana ka nga sa nanay mong bata ka" Imee said to Celestine "ikaw ba naman ang ipaglihi sa sama ng loob tignan natin kung hindi magiging ganito ugali mo" Celestine retorted and they just laughed
"Walang nakakatawa gusto kong isabit sa windmill yung babaeng yun" Celestine said as she frowned and sat beside Irene "ate Eneri naiinis na ako sa kanya hmp" Celestine said as she make lambing with Irene, "Sanaol nalang ate Irene ano" Cassy said jokingly "ikaw bata ka, kanina ka pa alam dito ka nalang dali" Imee said as she hugged Cassy
"Ay hala shet, kinilig ako teka lang, papatayin ko talaga gigising sa akin like enebe" Cassy said as Imee laughed at her reaction "Nako fan pala ikaw ni mama" Celestine said to Cassy "syempre, like sino ba naman ang hindi mababakla sa kanya, siguro nga kahit bakla maiistraight kay senator Imee" Cassy said and Celestine laughed genuinely
Ellen just stared at Celestine lovingly, she never saw Celestine laugh that hard, she never thought that a simple maid could melt Celestine's ice cold heart, "CELESTINE" they heard Greggy shouted making all of them flinch
Celestine gripped Irene's arms tight and hide behind her back "tell him I'm not here" Celestine whispered to Irene and Imee stand beside Celestine so does Ellen and Cassy looked at them confused so she stand behind them as well
"Where's that kid" Greggy asked them as he walked in the kitchen, "Come here" Greggy pulled Celestine's hand "how could you show your bratty attitude in front of Bettany ha" Greggy asked her "call me brat or whatever the hell you want but everything that I said earlier was all a fact ok" Celestine retorted and Greggy was about to slapped her when Irene caught his hands immediately
"Don't you dare slap her" Irene said making Greggy shock and he woke up from his senses when he realized what he's about to do, he saw Celestine shaking in fear while hugging Irene really tight, "manang Ellen, pack Celestine's things kasi sa akin muna siya titira" Imee said "No mama, hindi ako aalis dito, ok I will not let daddy know namahina ako nakailangan ko kayo para matutong lumaban" Celestine said
"This isn't the Celestine I knew" Greggy said "and you're not the father that I also knew, eversince mommy died you never become the father that I knew" Celestine retorted and Greggy remained silent "I don't want this fight to go violence ok, goodnight" Celestine walked out and Irene followed her "Cassy mauna kana sa kwarto ok susunod ako" Irene said to her adopted sister
Irene arrived at Celestine's room and she saw her outside the balcony staring at the moon "Nanjan ka lang pala" Irene said as she sat next to Celestine "I miss my mom, I miss the time nung nasa London kami, yung time na masaya kaming dalawa" Celestine said as she put her head on Irene's shoulder
"Alam mo, parehas lang tayo, miss ko na yung totoo kong pamilya, kahit hindi ko sila naalala umaasa parin ako na makikita ko sila" Irene said to Celestine "I want to sleep na" Celestine said as she stand up and went to her bed, Irene saw Celestine laying in her bed with a music box playing
Irene just watched her until she fall asleep peacefully, Irene decided to leave the room when she heard Celestine "I love you mommy" Celestine muttered under her breath and Irene smiled and fixed Celestine's blanket and kissed her forehead before leaving the room
