Lana's POV:

I came back to office, took my sunglasses and coat off and place myself comfortable at the desk.

"Ms. Winters?"
My assistant comes in and asks.

"Yes?"

"Mrs. Miller wants to see you" She says.

"In that case, let her in" I answer.

"Ehm.." She starts.

"What?" I cut her off.

"She wants to see you in her office"

I clear my throat. "Alright."
"You can leave." and add.

I give a fast knock in door and without hearing her answer I immediately come in.

"You wanted to see me" I say.

"Welcome, Lana. Sit down" She smiles.

"Cigarette?" She hands me a pack.

"With pleasure." I give her a little smile.

"So, how are you Lana?" She asks.

"Let's skip that part. I don't have that much time" I answer.

"I see." She says.
"So, I'm gonna say it directly."

"This is what I expect."
I give her a little smile.

"You have to share your new book with our new writer."

I take a drag from my cigarette and laugh.

"Excuse me?" I answer with cold voice tone.

"She is amazing, her book made us speechless. If you..."

"I do not agree for that" I cut her off.

"Well. So we will publish only her book"
She answers.

"You must be kidding." I ironically laugh.

"I'm completely serious."

I don't answer her.

"Lana look, you don't have a choice. Your previous book has failed. A lot of new young writers with fresh ideas are showing up. If you agree, both of you can achieve big success."

"How old is she?" I ask.

"24" She answers.

I chuckle. "So, summing up. You want me to help some child become famous, because her name will be next to mine on cover?"

"She would be successful anyway. With you or without you, Lana"

"Wow... How life is easy now" I answer.

"So, what is your decision?" She asks.

"I will give her a chance, if you are constantly saying that she is brilliant. Let's try out your little talented diamond."
I say ironically and chuckle again.

"Thank you, Lana" She says.

"So, when will I meet our princess?" I ask.

"Tomorrow at 9 a.m."

"Alright, see you" I leave the room.

Y/N's POV:

"How was your meeting?!?!"
Rachel almost jumps on me, when I walk into our house.

"Disappointing." I sigh.

"What? What happend?" She asks.

"If I want my book published, I have to share it with some Lana Winters..."

"Oh my fucking god!" Rachel says in shock.

"What?"

"With Lana Winters?!" She almost screams.

"Yes. Who is she?" I raise my eyebrow.

"You are kidding, right?" Rachel laughs.
"She is one of the most talented writers. She won so many awards. You call yourself a writer and you don't know her?!"

"Enough about mysterious Lana Winters."
I chuckle and roll my eyes.
"I have a meeting with her tomorrow anyway so..."

"Oh my god, Y/N. You are so lucky!"
Rachel cuts me off.

"Yeah, we will see." I answer.
"I want to celebrate. Let's go to our restaurant, what do you think?"

"Of course" Rachel says.

After this all exciting day I finally place myself in my bed. Before sleep I scroll through social media.

"Let's check this Lana Winters"
I whisper to myself.

When the results show up, my eyes immediately open in shock.

This must be a joke... I can't work with this bitchy ice queen.
