Y/N's POV:

One more time I prepared myself to be perfect and made my way to the office.
I go straight to meeting room. I enter and spot her... Lana Winters, finally. She is sitting backwards, but it's not difficult to recognize her.

The meeting starts in 10 minutes and she is here already? Interesting.

"Hello, Ms. Winters" I say and she turns around.

"I'm Y/N." I smile and reach my hand towards her.

"Who?" She frowns her eyebrows.

"Your new coworker" I answer.

"Ahh, right" She stands up and ignores my hand.

I closed my eyes for a while and took three deep breaths. It's so hard to not kill her right now.

"I want to apologise for yesterday. I hope our book will be exquisite." She says.

"If we write this book the way you come to important meetings, I have my doubts."
I whisper to myself.

"What?" She asks and lights a cigarette.

"Nothing" I smile.

"You are lucky, Miss Y/N." She sits on chair.

"What do you mean?" I ask.

"First book and you collaborate with famous writer" She blows smoke from her cigarette.

"I believe that everyone gets what they deserve" I nervously smile.

She doesn't answer, just eyes me up and down.

"And you can call me just Y/N." I say.

"I would prefer to not. I don't like to call other workers by their name." Lana answers in serious tone.

I only nod and four minutes later the other members of the meeting enter.
I immediately felt some relief. One more second alone in room with that woman and I could get madness.

Fortunately, the meeting went very well. Everyone likes my ideas and even Lana got impressed one time, of course she didn't show that, but I saw it. She was staring at me the whole time. I was a little bit stressed, because her eyes showed hate and admiration at the same time.

Everyone starts to leave the room and Mrs. Miller stops me and Lana.

"Y/N, Lana wait!" She says.

"Yes?" I answer. Lana just looks at her.

"I would like to inform you that on friday, our company is organizing a party to celebrate your new book. Because our boss is currently abroad, I am replacing him. I expect your presence there, which is obvious because you two are the main guests on this event."

"That's very nice, Mrs. Miller." I smile.

"Lana, because you've been on these kinds of parties before, I want you to help Y/N." Mrs. Miller says.

"In what?" Lana laughs.

"In getting to know our most important guests and other stuffs like that. You exactly know what I mean." She answers.

We are about to leave the room, but Mrs. Miller stops us again.

"And one more thing... Tomorrow you two have a photoshoot for a magazine. We want to promote this book well"

Somebody is kidding me, right?
