Lana's POV:

We place ourselves on balcony. I take one of my cigarette. I look at dark sky and hold
Y/N's hand.

"Please sit down, it's going to be a long talk" I say.

She only nods, sits and also takes one of my cigarettes.

"I trust you. I really do. Everything what I'm going to say, must stay between you and me." I say.

"Okay, I understand" Y/N answers.

"So, first of all. My relationship with Alice isn't real. I mean, she thinks that it is, but is not. I have to do that" I say and immediately see Y/N's confusion.

"I don't even working here for real-" I start.

"I'm sorry, but I don't understand" Y/N cuts me off.

"I know how it sounds, but let me finish"
I answer.
"Working here it's only a cover."
I take a drag from cigarette.

"Alice stole my book 10 years ago. I didn't have enough evidences to prove it, especially when her dad is rich and one of important person. Now, when I'm with her, I can get more. I'm working for another company. They asked me to do that when my books failed and my career was about to over. I had to do something what would help me become a star again. And as you can see It helped."

Y/N just looks at me in totally shock.

"Y/N?" I ask.

"I'm sorry, but it sounds like some movie" She answers and stands up. "Is your name real? or another cover?" and says.

I just look at her.

"So all is fake?" She ask.

"I know, It's hard to believe" I place my hand on her arm. "But one thing is real"

"And what is it?" Y/N answers.

"I don't love Alice and I think I start to fall in love with you... I was trying to escape it, but I can't..." I kiss her.

"Everything leads me to you" I kiss her again, but I feel her tears on my lips.

"What's wrong?" I take her face in my hands.

"I can't do that." She cries.
"I love you too, but I can't share you with anyone else. You supposed to love me and only me" She answers.

"But I only love you" I place my forehead on hers.

"And you are with Alice... I can't live like that, Lana. We can not be together, until you don't finish this" She starts to slowly push me away.

"But, Y/N" I grab her arm and I feel tears in my eyes.

"Lana it's better for us. I will be waiting for you. I don't want to complicate things even more. You have to understand me" She answers.

"How am I supposed to be with Alice, if the only person that I want is you" I say and cry.

"Sweetheart, don't cry. Finish this as fast as you can. I'm not going anywhere." She pulls me closer to her and kisses me.

"I don't want to leave you. We just have to wait for each other a little bit longer" She looks into my eyes.
"Good night, Lana Winters" and says.

After that she leaves the balcony. And I stay here, alone. I couldn't hold back my tears. I know how long this all situation is going to last and I want Y/N now. I can't just wait and spend every day not able to touch her.

Emotions took over my body. I decide to call my boss, the real boss. In the middle of the night.

"Lana? Do you know what time it is?"
He says in sleepy voice.

"I want to quit" I only say that.

"Quit what?"

"This case with Alice Moore" I answer.

"You kidding, right?" He asks.

"No. I want to finish this"

"You know that you can't do that"

"I don't care.." I start.

"So I don't care too" He cuts me off. "Stop calling me in the middle of the night for no reason. You wanted this so much, what happend? You know what? Don't even tell me, because you can't quit, no matter what."

"But I.."

"Good night, Lana" He hangs up.

"Fuck!" I scream and throw the phone off the balcony.
