Gabi's POV "btw your outfit is up top when you guys go over to the Madden's house at night"
We were walking to the new neighbors house since my grandma has to get their rent
"I hope they have some kids me and your age Gabi" Hartley said excited
"yeah, I guess" I shrugged
"Hopefully they won't be snobby kids" I mumbled
Hartley rolled her eyes at my comment
"Gabi you need to start thinking more positive thoughts" Hartley says using her hands like she made an imaginary rainbow
"Eh... whatever you say harts" I say as we were close to their house
"yeah, right think happy thoughts girl please." I said in my head
Then we made it as grandma ringed there door bell
"Oh, look, everybody. It's our landlady Celia and her Granddaughters Hartley and Gabriella" Mrs Madden says
As Hartley gave them an friendly wave I just looked at the family as I was reading Mrs Madden mind "ugh. Man do I hate being nice" she said in her head
I scoffed in my head when she said that
"Hello, landlady Celia and her granddaughters Hartley and Gabriella." They all repeat
"It's Gabi" I say
"Gabi" they repeat
Me and Hartley share a glance then I said
"Cross snobby off more like strange," I mumbled to Hartley
the family looked at me when I mumbled to Hartley I just gave them a fake smile
"Your first rent is ten bucks short." Grandma tells them
"Oh, sorry about that. Can you break a twenty." Mr Madden said pulling out his money
"Nope" grandma said as she grabbed his money
Then Hartley looks at this girl who looked close to her age
"You look really familiar. Do I know you from somewhere" Hartley asks her curiously
she chuckles "No, I don't think so." the girl replied back
I then noticed how the younger boy was staring at me then I read his mind "wow she's really pretty wait... Colby you just saw her get a grip" he said in his head
I blushed but tried to look away so he couldn't see the blush on my face
"That girl seemed really weird nah the whole family seems weird and strange" I thought
"I guess I could read her mind" I thought again
"Ugh I'm so good at lying about us being supervillains I should get an award for that wait no superheroes get awards for that stuff oh my god I can never shut up wait why does my brain feel weird" she said in her head then I got out of her mind when she mentioned my brain feels weird
My eyes widened really fast I tried to keep calm
"Well, we were about to start an family movie night." Mrs Madden told us going close to door
"Great,What are we watching? I love a good war movie" grandma said as she sat on their coach and me and Hartley followed her
"Uh, on second we really should get some rest. We're still adjusting to the time difference here in Texas." Mr Madden says as i kinda nodded in agreement
Then they all did a yawn which made me furrowed my eyebrows at that
Grandma suddenly got up from their coach
