6. Let's Have Dinner

A successful wrap. Surprising, but yes. Chaeyoung came to the shoot today, got through with it and finished it. Her and Mina? Nothing happened anymore between them, and they both acted as if nothing actually happened.

Mina being true to her words, professionally goes on with the shoot, not minding her ex-girlfriend at all. While Chaeyoung showed up trying to save her ego that was stomped on. She wanted to send a message, that it didn't bother her, Mina's words that is.

All of them are seated in a long table right now, sharing a dinner. The actors and actresses, the staffs, the managers, the band, and the director. One staff stood up and did a little speech about how successful the filming today was. And how delighted he is.

"I wanted to say how lucky I am to be a part of this." He says with a smile. "Take this as a token of my appreciation for everyone." He gave out some milk yogurt to everyone as a little treat. Everybody clapped and cheered.

"For the success of Blue Skies and Seas!" The staff yelled and everyone raised their yogurts for a toast.

But one person interrupted, one who's been busy reading the label of the drink. "Wait!" Chaeyoung says, all eyes are confusingly looking at her now. Which she instantly regrets, she felt conscious from all the eyes directly pointing at her. "T-This is soy milk. Just saying." She trailed off.

"What does that have to do with anything?" Lisa asks, Chaeyoung stared at her defensively.

"Someone might be allergic." She says behind her breath, everyone creases their foreheads.

"Well, I'm not." One staff said and, "Me too." echoed from the others. So they all raised their milks again and yelled, "Cheers!"

They all drank together and clapped. But only two people didn't do it, and it's impossible not to spot. For Chaeyoung it's kind of expected, but for...

"Director Myoui, why didn't you drink yours?" The staff who gave away the drink asks, Mina just pressed her lips together and smiled slightly.

"I'm allergic to soy." She says, all eyes automatically switched to Chaeyoung. Some are thinking of an extraordinary connection, but none of it was the truth. Chaeyoung just ignored everyone's gaze on her.

"Well, atleast I'm not wrong." She says, everyone just shrugged it off and goes on with dinner.

The next day, shoot still ended successfully. Everyone was actually surprised by the talent of the band in acting. They surpassed all the expectations that the production team had in them.

"The production team underestimated us, I'm a little upset." Lisa joked and everyone laughed. They're all walking down the road to go to a different restaurant where they agreed to eat dinner together again.

"Oh come on, you can't blame us. You're music people." The assistant director says. "You guys did a good job, let's settle it as that." He says and laughs.

"Yes, you guys are so great." A female staff said, hearts on her eyes. It looks like she was a fan. She's been drooling over Chaeyoung since day one. "You guys are so amazing, but most especially Chaeyoung-ssi." She said, everyone nods their head, the leader of the band is actually great at acting.

"You hear that Chaeyoung, they said you were great despite having tantrums." Wheein said laughing, but no one responded to her. "Chaeyoung?" She looked beside her but the lead vocalist was already gone, they were just walking together a few seconds ago.

Everyone looked at Wheein who's frantically calling for their leader. "What's wrong? Where's Chaeyoung?" Dahyun asked approaching Wheein.

The drummer just scratched her nape. "She was just here a minute ago." She said.

Lisa tapped the both of them and pointed behind them. "There." She said pointing in a distance. Chaeyoung was left behind standing on the road looking at something far away from the ocean.

"Chaeyoung!" Jeongyeon called, the guitarist looked. "Come on, catch up!" She called but Chaeyoung just signalled her hand for them to go on.

"Go without me! I don't feel like eating." She replied and walked away on a different direction, on the way to the ocean.

The band, Jeongyeon, and the other managers continued to walk, but halted when realizing no one was following them. "What's wrong?" Jeongyeon said.

One of the filming crew decided to ask the question that's on all of their minds. "That's it? You're not gonna persuade her?" She asks, the other team laughed.

"Chaeyoung does whatever she pleases. Let her be, let's go to dinner." Jeongyeon said and they all did just that, continued to walk and go to the restaurant to eat. They really doesn't have the right to ask questions.

But Mina being quiet on the side thought that, 'So that's what she became.'

"That's what you always do. You can't refuse favors, you let everyone walk all over you. I asked for one night Chaeyoung and you couldn't even do that for me!" Mina was furious, she and her girlfriend made plans tonight, to have dinner.

It was gonna be the first time in two months that they're going to eat together again. But Chaeyoung accepted a last minute gig, requested by her friend. Ending, Mina got stood up.

"I know love, but I couldn't just say no. Just please stop packing your things and let's talk about it." Chaeyoung held Mina's hands and unpacked everything she had put in her suitcase. She held Mina tightly in a hug, her nose scrunching in her lover's shoulder, begging her to stay. "I'm sorry that I couldn't say no, I'm sorry that I neglected you. Please, let me make it up to you."

"You always say that, it never happens." Signs of crying was evident in her voice, Chaeyoung suddenly got worried and faced Mina.

She held her girlfriend's face. "No, no, don't cry. Please don't cry, I'm sorry." She begged and hugged Mina again. She's the most vulnerable when Mina is crying, especially when she's the one who caused it. "I'll do anything you ask of me. I'll cancel everything today. What do you wanna do with me, huh? I'll do everything. I swear." She said, she faced her crying girlfriend again, looking for her eyes under the tears.

Mina calmed herself down before making a request. "I just want to eat with you Chaeyoung, that's all I wanted."

Chaeyoung almost cried, it pains her that she couldn't even give the bare minimum for her girlfriend. "We'll do just that my love. I'm sorry." She said kissing Mina. For a few solid seconds they stayed like that.

"I love you." Mina said under her breath, and she could feel Chaeyoung's smile beneath her lips.

"I love you as much Mina. Now let's get you that dinner."
