Berlin, September 14th
Today was a calm day. Disturbingly calm, if we consider the circumstances.
The Hauptman is not convinced that it will last.
"I'm not sure, but they don't seem to be as dumb as we initially thought. They're like animals. They are hunting us down as pack of wolves hunting a deer."
We believed he was going mad. How bad can be when your superior is losing his mind?
I overheard some of the soldiers whispering in the living quarters. "If that motherfucker starts to do stupid things, we'll have to shoot him down."
They were referring to the Hauptman, beyond any doubt. The morale is low. People are acting strangely. Even I am acting strangely lately.
