"What about the play?" [Y/N] asks, as she chews her already half-eaten apple pie.
"Sounds perfect."

"Tsk- another group that has yet to capture the love between the two protagonists...how disappointing." [Y/N] mutters under her breath.
Yet another group of performers that tried to recreate the magical story of the book "Always her". A novel that [Y/N] had created under the pen name Simp. It was perfect for her. The representation and meaning behind it. A slag only she understands and represents her correctly yet something that is simple for the people of this world to pronounce.
"You seem disappointed Lady [Y/N]. Is the show not to your liking?" Mikasa wonders, not understanding your point of view for she has thought that the show was quite amazing. Especially since it was a group not meant for the noble theatres. Or perhaps it's because you've seen better actors and actresses that you did not enjoy the show. "I am actually...they didn't fully understand the story between the two lovers. They didn't understand why it needed to end sadly." [Y/N] sighs sadly. "Why did all of them even change the ending? Can't handle some angst?" she angrily mumbles.

"Finally we're alone."
The prince held his princess's dainty fingers. Gently lacing his with hers. His eyes filled with adoration. Adoration that was kept only for her. However, the adoration slowly turns into a frown as he looks down to the floor. Clear discouragement swept his expression as all he could do was stare at the ground.
"The night is coming to an end..." she finally whispers. "I'm going to miss this."
The prince looked at her in shock. Did she know? Did she know it was their last day together? If she did...then why? Why did she stay happily with him on their date? He'd rather she get mad and hate him forever than have her be heartbroken after today.
"Did you know?" he mutters, his voice breaking with every word.
Her lips quavers, but she still keeps a smile on her face. The tears streamed down her cheeks and she held him in her hands. "Yeah I knew...father had announced it in the dining room. But don't regret our time together...it'll make me feel bad. But don't treat my sister bad too! Okay? She did nothing wrong."
"But...I can't. This would be betraying you and our promise." he cried, holding onto her. Clutching her outfit, his tears staining her sleeves.
She kisses his forehead, then his cheeks, his nose and lastly his lips.
She slowly pull out of the embrace and the prince could only look at her with sadness and anguish. It then occurred to him that someone that was so familiar one second ago could become so distant the next.

[Y/N] look back at the last chapter of her book. The last interaction between them before the epilogue. It was a sad ending, just how she likes it. Fans have requested another chapter with a happier ending but she refuses to write it. Instead, she had the publisher announce that she will not be writing another ending to "Always her" but instead a new book. A book where the protagonist will not end as sad as this.
