Leo POV
"So what's the plan for them starting a war on Camp Half-Blood?" I hear being asked the moment I walk into the dining hall.
"Well, Athena's statue is a start."
I listen to the conversation as I sit down and start eating my food. Looking around the table, I notice that Stiles looks a little more rested than before. That's a good thing.
"What about Athena's statue? I mean, what are we going to do about it?"
That's when I decided to enter the dining area, my food appearing in front of me. Digging in, the conversation continued.
"We find Nico." Hazel spoke.
"What do you mean?" I questioned around a mouthful of food.
"Gross Leo, swallow before talking dude." My brother commented.
Percy chuckled as I swallowed, then stuck my tongue out at Stiles.
Hazel rolled her eyes before continuing, "my brother, Nico, was at SPQR with us, remember Percy?"
"Yeah! I remember him. I met him when he was really young... I wish I could've helped him more."
"Well," Hazel continued. "We can. I've been having these dreams lately. He's in this... jar? At least, it looks like a giant jar. He looks terrible though, almost as if he's dying."
"Wait," Piper cut in. "Death boy is dying?"
Hazel glared at her. For a second, I thought there was about to be a fight, Gods was I hoping for one. I was super bored. There was nothing to do on this stupid ship other than repairs that I do all the time! Now doing them seems boring.
"Leo? You listening?" Stiles cut into my thoughts.
"Huh? What? Sorry." I felt my face heat up in embarrassment, everyone staring at me.
"It's okay, we were talking about how and where we could find Nico." Percy reassured.
"So, once we find Nico, what's he going to do?" Jason questioned.
He actually had a good point. I don't know much about demigods, but I do know that Hades kids are deadly. (Yes, that was a pun, sorry)
"Nico can shadow travel." Stiles answered as if that made any sense.
"Shadow what now?" Frank speaks! Oh my goodness, he actually talks! Sorry that was rude.
"Shadow travel." Percy repeated. "It's basically where children of Hades use the shadows to teleport somewhere. Sometimes it's easier to be a place they've seen before, but he can't just teleport the statue to Camp Half-Blood."
"Well why not?" Piper asked.
"Because it's draining." My brother answered. "If he looks like shit right now, imagine how he'll look if he shadow travels straight there. The kid's already got enough troubles, we don't need him disappearing into the shadows, alright?"
"Which brings us back to square one, but also raises another question. We need Nico, but how can we get him to transport the statue when one, we have no clue where he is and two, he looks like shit?"

I can't remember if I told y'all this, but I am moving away from canon while also staying close to it. You probably already knew that when I switched Annabeth out for Stiles, but whatever. How do y'all think they should find Nico? Stick to the book or go my own direction? If it's second option, give me some ideas!
