It's So Cold Pt.2

Piper POV
"What do we have to do?" I look over to Leo who has a terrified look on his face. When I first met him, there was a time I offered to help him. He hates being helped, but this time, we aren't going to let him die. The king chuckled. "For a fire boy like him? You'll have to defeat me. The both of you, my children won't intervene. I promise." I look at Jason and he looks at me. We nod and I say, "we'll do it." I hear Leo let out a whine, but we both ignore him. The king laughs. "Very well then. You must fight me to the death. I hope you know, no one has ever lived." We gulp, and Leo whimpers. "Wait, can we just talk to him for a bit?" He looks at Jason and nods. "2 minutes." We walk over to Leo and kneel down in front of him. "We are going to be okay. Don't worry. What you need to do is believe in us, okay?" He nods and a few tears escape his eyes. We hug him and walk over to the king. He pulls out a sword and shield, getting in a battle stance. We get in a battle stance as well, getting our weapons ready. "All this trouble for a fire boy. Tsk, tsk, tsk." He runs at us and we block him, jumping to the other side of the room. We split apart and looked at Leo. Right now, he was our determination. I get in my battle stance again and say, "for Leo." I see Jason nod out of the corner of my eye, and we both attacked. We sliced the king in half and he was dead. He turned to ashes. We turned around and ran to Leo. I untied him and helped him stand. "We need to leave." He nods and we pass a shocked Kione. "Goodbye, thanks for letting us have Leo back." We walk out the exit and over to Festus. Leo gets on Festus, his teeth still chattering. "W-we n-n-need to g-go." We nod and get on Festus, letting him lift us off the ground.
