~•Chapter 9•~ [got longer than expected lmao]

[The next day]

I miss Venti... I thought about the confession in Venti's note all the night, I looked for Xiao and he was nowhere to be seen, well just in this room.
I went up and wrapped my plushie in my blanket and went to the meeting room.
As I entered the room I could feel everyone's stares at me, I felt awkward about it, I blushed as soon as I realized what yesterday happened.. I guess I wasn't myself.. how uh embarrassing.. I sat down, I didn't even tried to say a word.
I might look sleepy but I don't care about it right now.
Everyone sat on their chair and then we started the meeting.

Albedo: "I guess everyone's here right?, You know what I don't care anyway what about going outside? We're running out of food."

Ayaka: "I told you! He's the reason we're running out of food! We should've just throw him out right after you helped him!"

She pointed at me with a glare.

Amber: "it's not his fault that we're running out of food tho.. it's no one's fault"

Albedo: "that's right, Amber, anyways who wants to go out and look for food?"

I put up my hand to offer my help.
Xiao did the same but it immediately got pulled down by Ayaka, she clinged onto him and shook her head, she was obviously scared.
He looked at her with a annoyed expression and sighed.

Xiao: "nevermind, I won't go with you guys, she's too scared for me"

Albedo: "very well then, Diluc and Kazuha, would you be willing and go out with me and Aether?"

The two nodded in agreement, Scara clapped his hands and the four of us went to the stock room to get ready for our outside patrol.
I went to 'my' room to get my bag and saw Xiao sitting there like he's regretting something.
I went towards him to approach him, when I tapped his shoulder gently to get his attention he pushed me away.

Xiao: "don't you dare touching me"

Aether: "what why?"

I looked down on his hands to see what he's holding in them and was shocked.
He found and read through my diary.
I was shocked and wanted to say something as I felt something hitting my cheek.
I looked at him and put my hand on my cheek to cover the bruise on my cheek he had hit.
'DID HE JUST SLAPPED ME?!'

Xiao: "YOU'RE A SLUT, SLEEPING WITH EVERY GUY YOU SEE, HOW DISGUSTING ARE YOU?! GET OUTTA HERE YOU WHORE!"

Aether: "... I-... I can explain..!"

Xiao: "cut it, I wish I wasn't sharing a fucking room with you, you're disgusting and the descriptions of that are so fucking perverted, we're over"

I looked at him with a scared expression, grabbed my bag and left the room.
I could hear Xiao yelling something behind me as I closed the door quickly and went up to the rooftop.
I leaned back against a wall and slided down until I sat on the floor, head on my knees and started to cry afraid of what he read in my diary.
In heard the door opening but didn't care about who entered it.
I felt someone sitting down next to me, hand on my shoulder the other one on my hand.
I looked up and saw Kazuha who probably followed me.

Kazuha: "did something happened?"

Aether: "I.. I think I messed up..."

Kazuha: "why do you think like that, tell me what's wrong?"

I looked at him and he gave me a warm, sweet smile.
I think I should tell him what happened.

Aether: "well... Xiao read my diary... I guess he found the page where I wrote my really.. dirty secrets in it.. when I entered the room I looked at him and then what he held in his hand.. I saw my diary in them and he pushed me away as I tapped him gently he told me that I shouldn't dare to touch him.. when I went up he went up too and then... Slapped me on my cheek, I went to my bag and picked it up and ran away too scared from him to get hit again.. he then called me a slut a-..and a whore.."
