The end is just the beginning

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder

Today (outfit 3) Ash was sitting with us at the rebels table with Hunter at lunch and talking about how her salad reminded her of her sale that her store was having today. How does salad remind you of.... Hunter started saying but Ash cut her off asking the rest of us if we wanted to go shopping which is the last thing I wanted to do but I did want to hang out with my friends and my sister.

Raven said she was in and so was Cerise but Cedar said she couldn't because she was gonna be in the royals beauty pageant. And I didn't want to tell you guys because I thought you'd think it was silly. And I love spellebrating being awesome empowered girls. Whoa, whoa.... Raven cut her off we don't think it's silly Cedar. Yeah if this is really something you want to do than we say go for it. I cut her off.

Right North Wind? I ask him petting him in his dog form. Whatever you say. He smiles at me wagging his tail. North Wind you don't have to be in your animal form when you come to visit me, it makes it harder for me to hold you in my arms and cuddle with you. Ok, ok. He changes back and sits next to me. So, are you gonna come with us to go shopping?

You hate shopping Onyx. He wraps his arms around me. I know but I'd like to spend time with my sister and my friends. Whatever you want to do is fine with me beautiful. I *sigh* in defeat and let him take this one. Meanwhile Cedar Apple and Briar were all with White Queen and she was helping them practice for the pageant.

Bigger smiles ladies. Bigger smiles miss white miss beauty miss wood. Bigger smiles. My cheeks hurt Cedar says. Beauty is not always pretty. And it got worse when White Queen told them their debate topic was why being beautiful was more important than anything else. And Cedar was having a hard time walking in her heels. How are we supposed to walk in these? She asked her. With grace darling by being graceful.

But then Cedar speaks up. Wait just a splinter I thought this pageant was supposed to be about what it means to be a beautiful girl! Not painful shoes or silly smiles and being graceful. What about being smart? And the beauty inside of us? She's right Apple agreed with her.

After rehearsal Cedar tries to apologize to Apple about what she said. Why you were right? She tells her. So what are we going to do? Cedar asked. Let's reinvent the pageant! Apple exclaims. You mean we make it really be about the beauty of awesome empowering girls?! Isn't that what beauty is really all about?

So that's exactly what they did. At the pageant contest the rest of us were all in the audience and Apple was speaking up about how true beauty meant that we live in day in and day out as our best selves and that each of us was special in our own enchanting way. Unfortunately the judge was Daring Charming and he decided he was the winner that he picked himself. But I think if it were anyone else if we had to pick a winner I'd say Cedar but ultimately I believe they're all winners.

And that beauty pageants are jank anyways and I 100% hate them in every way of the word especially in the real world.
