Phil (3rd person)

"Okay, now open your mouth as wide as you can." Phil wondered how long this could possibly go on for. He'd been examined for the past two hours. "Hm," the humanoid said, heading to the counter near the back of the room. Phil closed his mouth. The room seemed like a normal doctors office. The humanoid came back with a thermometer. Phil assumed that it probably wasn't going in his mouth. "Can I use the bathroom?" Phil asked, hoping to escape. "Sure, it's down the hallway, the first door on the right. Take this with you," they said, handing him what looked like a white plastic hat.

"...Okay..." Phil said, leaving the office. He closed the door and went to what looked like the exit of the building. He opened the large door and found himself in another hallway. After wandering around for a while, he found a doorway with the letter A+ engraved above it. He ignored all of the humanoids in the cells but stopped when he found Smiley. She was asleep in her bed, facing him. "Smiley?" Phil asked. Smiley rolled over in her bed. Phil knocked on the glass, but Smiley only pulled the blanket over her head. Phil knocked as hard as he could, calling her name. Smiley sat up and stretched.

She glanced at the glass and saw Phil. She got up, quickly fixed her hair, and met Phil at the glass. "Hey, Phil. How'd you get out? And what's with the... Uh..." Smiley asked. "I was in a doctor's office. And this?... The doctor gave it to me, I meant to drop it. Do you have any ideas of how to get out?" Phil asked, dropping his toilet hat on the floor. "Hm... Well, a guard said that the glass is bulletproof," Smiley said. "Okay... Do you have anything that could be useful?" Phil asked. Smiley looked around her cell, and the came back with a pen. "A pen?" Phil asked. "The cap is metal," she said. "Oh. Try stabbing the glass with it," Phil said. Smiley jabbed the glass with the metal cap, and the glass cracked. She pushed it out, and the shards of glass fell to the floor.

"Well, that was loud. Let's get out of here," Phil said. Smiley nodded and followed him. They wandered around until they found another hallway with the letter A carved above it. They wandered through that hallway until they found Lila, in her bed as well. "Lila," Phil called, knocking on the glass. Lila sat up and stared at him. "Hey Lila," Phil said. Lila continued staring for a minute. "Why are you here?" She asked. "To get you out. Surely you want to escape, right?" Phil asked. "No. Just leave me here. I'll be fine," she said. "Really?" Phil asked. "Yeah," Lila said, pulling the blanket back over her shoulders. "Okay then. C'mon, Smiley, let's go," Phil said, annoyed that his sister was so ornery. She'd always been like that, and Phil figured it was probably just a phase. He hoped it was.

Lila (3rd person)

It was nearly impossible for Lila to fall asleep in a bed that wasn't her own. For once, she'd managed to enter a light sleep, which was almost immediately interrupted by Phil. She was relieved when he gave up and left. That was all she wanted; to be left alone, in peace. She found that she wasn't able to fall asleep again. After a half-hour of staring at the ceiling, she heard someone knock on the glass wall. Again. She tried to ignore it and act like she was sleeping, but the knocking just got louder. Lila sat up and looked to the glass. Pico. He had a gun. He motioned with his hand for her to come to the glass.

She immediately stood up and ran to the glass. Pico used the corner edge of his gun, which looked rather sharp, to pierce through the glass and crack it. He pushed it in, which spilled shards all over Lila. She closed her eyes and whimpered, trying to stay as still as possible, in hopes of not being cut. Pico grabbed her arm and led her away. He brushed shards of glass out of her hair and off of her shoulders. "C'mon," he said, grabbing her hand instead of her arm. "I- I- I... Wh- Where are we going?" Lila asked, still stunned from the glass. "You'll see," he answered. Lila found his height intimidating, which was strange, since she'd found it rather attractive before. Pico seemed to know exactly where he was going, so Lila guessed that they probably wouldn't get lost. He walked to a seemingly random spot on the wall and stared at it.
