HOSTAGE SITUATION-046

Matilda climbed into the van that they were taking, she sat in the back next to the window with her husband in the middle.

Noah, the new kid, sat on the other side of him. Her father and Kelly sat in the front with her father driving as Lola, Tyresse, and Sasha in the middle.

A few minutes later, Matilda was staring out of the window when she felt a hand on her thigh. She looked towards her husband who was looking straight ahead to his hand that rested on her thigh.

She was still upset with him for leaving unannounced but understands that why he left and for who. Carol and her husband had a close-knitted friendship.

The dark haired girl placed her hand on top of his, squeezing it before removing it. Looking back at the window, Matilda didn't see the tiniest smile that graced Daryl's lips.

Once they were in Atlanta, the group got out, Daryl helped his wife at of the car and headed towards a building. Once they all were in the building, Rick started devising a plan.

Matilda stood between Kelly and Noah, while her father draws on the ground. Daryl stood on the other side of Noah, every so often glancing at his wife.

"At sundown, we fire a shot into the air." Rick started. "Get two of them out on patrol. Then once it's dark enough that the rooftop spotter won't see us, we go. We cut the locks on one of the stairways, take it to the fifth floor. I open the door, Daryl takes the guard out."

"How?" Lola asked, looking down the drawn plan.

"He slits his throat. This is all about us doing this quite, keeping the upper hand." Rick said, unfused. "They're not expecting us. From there, we fan out. Knives and silenced weapons. We need to be fast. Lola, Sasha, Kelly, take them. Daryl and Ty, you take care of whoever is in the kitchen. I got Dawn. Tilly, stay and protect. If they're smart the rest of them will give up. Then it'll be five on eight. Nine on three once we got a weapon to Beth. "

"10 on three.  The wards will help." Noah cut in.

"That's best case. What's worst case? All it takes is one of those cops going down the hall the wrong time. Then it's not quite. All hands on deck." Tilly says, glancing at Noah. "We're talking about a lot of bullets flying around."

"If that's what it takes," Sasha says.

"It not. If we get a couple of her cops alive out here, we do an even trade. Theirs for ours. Everybody goes home." Tyreese adds.
