THE WOMAN IN THE MASK-140

SEVERAL WEEKS LATER

The Dixons and Grimes been in Commonwealth for a few weeks now and it was Halloween. When they were first taken to the community, Max and Daryl were questioned for hours and then went into processing before they were finally approved. The questions were irritating to Max having the same two people asked the same questions over and over again.

And then few days in, Max had taken Carl to see the doctor in a whole hospital where they found out his brother has mild ADHD and was partly hard of hearing like Kelly was. Carl got some sweet cool hearing aids in his favorite color which was blue.

Maggie and most of her new people and some of the people of Hilltop had declined the offer from Hornsby and went back to Hilltop to try and salvage whatever they could. Aaron and a few others stayed up in Alexandria to help with the construction.

When the people suggested that him, Violet and Alice go back to school, the couple and Vi immediately refused and demanded for a job like the rest of their people. Alice and Violet had befriended a fews of people around their age, Max wasn't interested in making friends with anybody, neither was his sister.

Cassie, unlike Judith, was a bit hesitant about the other kids her and Jude's age and declined every time one of them asked if she wanted to hang out with them. She usually sticks close to Carl, who had made two friends, twin sisters Maeve and Maci.

The Commonwealth was celebrating Halloween with a festival with activities for the children and adults. People were wearing costumes, including Cassie and Judith. Jude was a witch and Cassie was a fairy. Daryl and his kids were currently walking through a haunted house, which seemed to frighten the kids.

Cassie walked behind Jude and RJ, holding Carl's hands tightly as they walked through. Halfway through it, walkers banged against the walls, snarling and growling at them as they walked, Carl flinched, letting out a small yelp and motioned for his dad to pick him up.

Daryl picked up his son, holding him in one arm as his other one was resting against his daughter's shoulder. Carl buried his face into his father's shoulder as the door at end of the hall opened and walked out a Walker. The actor stumbled towards them, causing RJ to find behind Cassie and clutched a handful of her dress, scared.

Daryl held out his hand and said. "Hey, man, that's...that's enough."

"No problem, man." The man smiled as he let them pass.

They walked out of the haunted house, Cassie grabbed Carl's hand against when their father set him on the ground. She asked.  "Do you want to see the animals, C?"
