A SAFE PLACE-013

Everyone gathered around a fire that Lola and Kelly made. Rick and Daryl were both keeping watch in different parts of the yard, making sure the group is safe.

Ori watched as her father pace the perimeter of the gates a second time, while Daryl was standing on an overturned bus that was part of the prison.

The sky darken as everyone ate their dinner, Glenn throws a bone into the yard as he joked. "Mmmm, just like mom used to make."

Maggie smiled towards her boyfriend, placing her head on his shoulder. Lori takes her daughter's leftovers as she looks over towards her husband.

"Tomorrow, we'll put all the bodies together. We want to keep them away from that water." T-dog said as he pointed in the direction of the steam. "Now, if we can dig a canal under the fence, we'll have plenty of freshwaters."

Everyone nodded in agreement. Matilda glanced over Daryl, watching him pace on the bus. Smiling, she looks away as Hershel started talking.

"The soil is good, we could plant some seeds, grow some tomatoes, cucumbers, soybeans," Hershel said, before turning to look at their leader. "That's his third time around. If there was any part of it compromised, he'd have found it by now."

Matilda watched her father as she ran her fingers through Lee's greasy hair. She was worried about her father and mother. Lori was due in a few months time and needs her strength.

And Rick, he's almost at his breaking point after killing his best friend.

"This will be a good place to have the baby. Safe." Beth's sweet voice rang out, causing Tilly to look over at her.

Her mother sent the younger girl a small smile as her daughter smiled too, loving how sweet Beth was. Matilda has grown fond of the youngest Greene, much like her sister Maggie. Beth was a nice, sweet, gentle soul.

Suddenly, Tilly's snapped up looking over her shoulder at the paper plate that was in her face. She looked up and saw Carol.

"It's for Daryl." The woman said handing her the plate.

Matilda nodded, taking the plate, standing up and walked over to the overturned bus.

"Hey," she called, once she got to the bus.

Daryl looked down at the younger girl, a small smile instantly took shape. Matilda placed the plate of meat on the roof as Daryl bent down and grabbed her arm, pulling up.
