Chapter 8

Alex's POV

"Well this is my house." I say as we stop at the driveway. I lived in a relatively big house, we were kinda rich since my dad and mom both work good jobs.

"Sweet." Willie says.  "It was nice getting to know you."

"Ya you too. And I'm sorry, I would invite you home but my parents are gonna be home soon, and well ever since I came out to them they've been a little strict about who I have over."  I say. "They thank every guy I see I'm gonna fuck."

"I'm sorry man." Willie says. "But yeah maybe I'll see you around?"

"Yeah for sure." I smile. Willie hops on his skate board and skates away and k watch him disappear in the distance, getting butterflies. I try and ignore them though, last time I feel for a guy this fast he broke my heart.

I go up to my room happy to have the house to myself. Normally Angie is here too but she's working on moving out with her boyfriend.

Just then there's a tap on my window and I see Reggie's face peeking through. I open it up and he climbs in.

"So how was the date?" I ask.

"He has a girlfriend." Reggie says. "Paula. He says she means nothing to him but then why haven't he officially broken up with her and he said he would but I don't know I should have trusted you."

"Aw Reg I'm so sorry." I say pulling him into a hug. Paula was the girl Luke cheated on me with. How is it that Luke can break both our hearts with the same girl. "He doesn't deserve you."

"I feel bad for leaving him like that but I just really needed to talk to you." He says pulling away. "Do I give him a chance?"

"I don't wanna tell you what to do Reg, but I wouldn't. Him and Paula have history."  I say.

"How do you know?" He asks.

"Reggie...there's something I didn't tell you about while I was away for the summer." I say. It's time to tell him the truth. He deserves to know. "I met a guy there. And...I fell in love with him. I fell so hard, but then he cheated on me with Paula and left the boarding school."

"You...you were in love with Luke?" Reggie says. "Why didn't you tell me he was your ex, I never would have asked him out if I knew."

"Which is why I didn't tell you." I say. "Because I saw how happy Luke made you and I just wanted you to be happy."

"So I definitely shouldn't date him now right?" Reggie says.

"It's up to you, I just don't want you getting hurt so please be careful." I say.

"Always." He says. "Wanna go hang out at the park?"

"You know it." I smile. "Oh which reminds me! I met someone!"

"Really!?" Reggie says. We head downstairs and out the front door and head to the park and I tell him all about Willie. I leave out the part about Bobby. I said that Willie and I Jung kinda ran into each other and began talking. He doesn't bend to know about Bobby.

The next day at school me and Reggie were at our lockers and Luke approached us. I reframe from punching him in the face.

"Hey Reggie, got a second?" Luke says.

Reggie opens is mouth but closes it again without saying anything. He looks over at me and I realize I'm gonna have to do the talking.

"Why didn't you break up with Paula?" I ask. "If you really wanted to be with Reggie you would have broken up with her."

"I am so sorry." Luke says looking at Reggie. Reggie's eyes moved about but refused to look forward at Luke. "I thought she knew we were over, honestly."
