"DUSTIN, CAN YOU SLOW DOWN?" Eddie pushes threw a bush, covering his face from the branches. Olivia is pulled threw after him, their hands intertwined tightly. Night time has fallen upon them once again, like darkness wanting to swallow the teenagers up whole. "Dustin?" Eddie calls.
"I think we're getting close." Dustin yells, turning back to look at the litter of people following after him. He walks straight for the open water that is lovers lake, Olivia manages to catch him just as he's about too fall into the lake. "Holy Jesus."
"Watch your step man." Eddie pats his shoulder, giving him a half smile. The rest of the group follow them out onto the banks of Lover's Lake. Olivia sighs in anger, closing her eyes and turning away from the lake, feeling her head pounding against her skull. Eddie sees the discomfort and wraps an arm around her shoulders, pulling her into his side. The girl lets herself relax a little, smelling the cheep cologne and weed that Eddie smells of, usually it would make her gag but with him, it was different.
"Oh man. You've got to be shitting me." Steve gasps, a little out of breathe from the hike they had just been on.
"Yeah." Eddie agrees, "I thought these woods were familiar.
"Lover's lake." Robin elaborates, sighing in defeat.
"This is... confounding." Dustin grins, excitement in his expression and voice.
"There's a gate in lovers lake?" Max asks, walking up beside Olivia. The Harrington turns too the Mayfield and smiles softly, sliding their hands together.
"Whenever the Demogorgan attacked, it always left an opening." Nancy remembers, she remembers the gate she had crawled threw a long time ago looking for Barb, her bestfriend that had died ages ago. "Maybe Vecna's the same way."
"Yeah, only one way to find out." Steve mutters, sarcastically smiling and shaking his head a little. Luckily for them the boat Olivia and Eddie had been in washed up on shore just where they had came out. Steve and Eddie push the boat a little into the water, but have trouble when it gets stuck on something. Olivia growls in anger, walking forward and giving it a little shove with her foot, the boat slides into the water with ease.
Robin climbs in first, using Steve and Eddie's heads as leverage. Olivia goes to climb in but Steve objects, "No, your not coming." He shakes his head, Olivia completely ignores him and climbs into the boat, sliding into the seat beside Robin. Eddie climbs in after her, helping Nancy into the boat, she grins, thanking Eddie.
