"you're late." lucas scolded mike as he parked his bike.
"sorry!"
"again." he added, "we're gonna miss the opening."
"yeah, if you guys keep whining about it. let's go!" he yelled.
"if you guys keep whining about it. nyeh- nyeh- nyeh." lucas mocked.
"just please stop talking, dude." he said.
"let me guess. you were busy." lucas made fake kissing sounds.
"ew, lucas. that's like kissing my sister." he rolled his eyes.
"oh, el. i wish we could make out forever, and never hang out with our friends." he continued dramatically.
"lucas, stop. they're just friends." max exclaimed.
"sage and will think it's funny."
"because it is."
"yeah, it's so funny that you guys won't let me be friends with a girl without acting like i like her." he scoffed.
sage turned to will, the two had become very close over the past year, and sage was like a part of his family. "it's still kinda funny."
"hey!" people yelled as they ran down the escalator.
"excuse us, sorry, sorry." they all apologized.
"hey watch it!"
"yeah. watch it, nerd." erica, lucas's sister teased as they got down the escalator.
"isn't it past your bedtime?" he tried.
"isn't it time you died?" she retorted, making her friends all laugh.
"phsyco!"
"butthead!"
"mall rat!"
"fart face!"
"oh, now that was mature." max grabbed his arm, following the other into scoops ahoy.
mike started ringing the bell repeatedly.
sage roughly grabbed his arm. "i think they heard you."
