It had taken Harley exactly three days to process both her song getting leaked and the rumour concerning her and someone she had never even met before. She had even gone out of the way to avoid going out of her house because she was afraid someone would think she was visiting him. Living in the same town as Joe Keery was now considered a terrible thing to her.
Harley had almost spent four days cooped up inside her Boston home before her plans were crushed when her best friend abruptly called.
"Gracie, what's up?" The girl held her phone between her cheek and shoulder, carrying a basket of laundry down the stairs.
"SO, YOU'RE NOT DEAD!" Gracie nearly gave Harley an earache.
"Of course I'm not. Seriously, what's up? You never call me unless you're working on some songs, might I mention, that you always scrap." She exaggerated the last bit.
"I don't scrap them. I'm just saving them for something."
"Mhm." Harley set the basket down, giving Gracie her full attention.
"Anyways, I just got invited to a party downtown and I asked the host if it was cool if I brought guests and he said yes, so..." Gracie ranted.
"Absolutely not. Do you not realize how shit my publicity is right now?"
"Nobody's going to see you there! I promise on my scrapped songs and your shit publicity."
There was a short hum of silence before the singer replied with, "What's the address?"
