not the freak ~ eddie munson

its cheesy

we get to eddie's house and steve helps me off my bike "i just inhaled a bunch of that crap" he coughs and i laugh at him "it's stuck in my throat" he says holding the flashlight as we enter eddie's house.

we're met with a red glowing gate "it's right where she died" i say looking up at it "the exact spot" eddie tells robin as we all stare at the gate "the hell?" steve says squinting his eyes and walking closer to the gate "i think somethings in th-" something pokes out from the gate.

me and robin scream and i back into her
"no way-" i moved past eddie and look to see dustin, lucas and erica. dustin starts laughing and waving "hi there" he smiles making this braces lined teeth show "guys it's them" i look back and smile at everyone.

eddie bends down and rests his hands on his knees, i put a hand on his back. he stands up straight and tilts his head back closing his eyes "we're almost there" he whispers with a laugh. dustin throws his makeshift pulley to get us out of here "it worked!" i shout and he gives lucas a fist bump

"pull on it see if it holds!" max shouts. robin tugs on it and hangs on it "guess i'm the guinea pig" she says holding onto the rope "be careful" i say as she starts climbing up.

robin makes it through. me, nancy, steve and eddie look around at each other "alright. i guess i'll go" eddie says jumping up and pulling himself though. i see him land on the other side "that was fun" his voice carries through over to this side

"go for it molls" nancy nudges me. i climb up the rope and land next to eddie on the mattress dustin put down "we're back" eddie says looking over me with a smile. i grab his hand he offers me and he pulls me up, into a hug "nancy?! nancy!" we hear steve panicking "vecna" max says looking into the gate

"steve come on you gotta come through!" I tell him but no answer "steve!-" "hey you guys gotta bail" lucas tells me "no im not leaving them in there!" i tell him as i look into the upside down

"mollie... he's right you have to lay low alright?" dustin lays a hand on my back. i look to eddie then back to Dustin "go.. i promise we will find you guys when we need you alright?" dustin says softly and i nod my head, i give robin a hug. hug. "just give me a second" eddie says leaving to his room. he comes out with a folded note and places it on the counter.

we make our way across the trailer park and take the short cut to my house "who knew we would be fugitives in our own town" eddie says as i turn down my road "i'm just happy to be home" i tell him as we walk up the steps to my house.

i walk in to see the house exactly how robin and i left it, my parents weren't home again. i close the door behind us and eddie looks around a bit, i lead him upstairs and i  close my bedroom door behind us

"i have some of steve's clothes if you wanna shower and change?" i offer and he looks down at his clothes "that.. sounds amazing" he says slipping off his shoes. i grab steve's clothes from the last drawer in my dresser and hand them to eddie "bathrooms right across from my room" i tell him and he sends a small smile before closing the door behind him.

some time later eddie walks back in with his dirty clothes in hand "just set them there, i'll wash them" i say as i grab some clean clothes "are you okay?" he asks me and i turn around to see him sitting on my bed.

i chew on my cheek and turn back around "woah- hey.." i feel his hand wrap around the crook of my arm and he turns me around "are you okay?" he asks again but emphasizing on all three words "i just need a moment" i say with my voice above a whisper and he nods his head.

i grab my clothes and walk to the bathroom, i start up the shower and wash myself clean of any part of the upside down that was still on me. 

i walk in to see eddie flipping through the pages in one of my books from the shelf. i brush out my hair out and stand a bit away from eddie "wanna answer that question now?" he pulls his eyes away from the book then to me.

he stands up and puts the book back, he walks closer to me and i wrap my arms around his neck pulling him into a hug "I hated every moment being there" i tell him and he lets a sigh out as he pulls me in closer "i know... i know" he keeps his arms around my waist.

i pull away but he pulls me back "hey... i promise it's gonna be okay" he puts his hand on my cheek as he looks back and forth between my two eyes. he leans in and kisses me softly keeping his hand on my cheek.

we pull away and i sit on my bed and pat the side next to me, eddie comes around and we lay on our backs. eddie brings his hand up and i turn the one ring that's on his ring finger "we should get some sleep okay?" he says and i lace my hand with his

"Alright" i nod my head and he pulls me into him. he puts his arm around me as i lay my head on his chest. he kisses the top of my head, he rubs his thumb back and forth on my hip "it sounds cliché but..." he starts and i tilt my head up a bit

"i'm falling hard for you buckley" he tells me with his voice dipping off towards the end. i
laugh just slightly and i can hear the smile in his voice "i know i know it's cheesy" i kiss him once more and genuinely smile down at him "i think.. i've fallen already" i tell him and he flips me over so i lay on my back

he smiles down at me with his arm around my back "you really need your glasses back" he laughs and kisses me, i laugh against his lips "yeah i know" i say sarcastically "it's so cute, really, when you're lost in thought you push them up out of habit-" "shut up!" i hit his chest lightly and he laughs as he plops back down on his back making the bed move a bit

"goodnight, for real this time" i tell him as i roll over in my side. i feel his arm slither over my side as i drift off to sleep.
