eddie's house.

we stand underneath the gate with all of our gear in backpacks. steve goes first and lands in the upside down, he gives a nod "what does he want us to do? applaud?" i look over at nancy and she laughs. i brace myself before i hoist myself through the gate.

i land on my back and see eddie getting ready to throw his shield with nails "mollie!" nancy pulls me off the mattress as the shield lands closely next to me "shit shit shit are you okay?" eddie asks from the other side "i'm fine! just come through" i tell him and soon enough he falls through. i help him up and robin falls on the mattress as well.

steve helps her and dustin is the last one to make it, he sits up with wide eyes. eddie and i help him up quickly and hand him his weapons. i walk steve, robin, and nancy out, dustin and eddie follow behind me. steve turns around

"if things start to go south here i mean- at all? you abort? okay? draw the attention of the bats keep them busy for a minute or two-" "and you guys flambé vecna" i cut him off and he nods his head. he points his finger at eddie and dustin "don't try to be a hero or be cute okay? you guys are just-" "decoys, don't worry you can be the hero steve" dustin says annoyed

"absolutely i mean, look at us... we are not hero's" eddie laughs slightly. steve starts to walk off with nancy and robin "steve wait!" i catch up with them and hug steve tightly "woah- hey-" "just shut up okay? don't get yourselves killed please" i whisper and he nods his head against my shoulder.

i pull away and pull robin into a hug "i love you" i tell her and she pulls away with a sad smile "dont die okay?" she tells me and i hug nancy as well "don't hurt jonathan" i whisper to her since i've seen how her and steve have been recently. i walk back to eddie and dustin as they walk off with flashlights in hand

"come on" eddie puts a hand on my back and leads me inside "just stay here while we fix up the outside okay?" dustin says from over eddie's shoulder "yeah" i nod my head and he hands me the spear erica and lucas made "just in case" he says not meeting my eyes.

i nod and walk around the house as i wait for them to finish up outside. the door flies open and eddie has a giddy look on his face "time for the fun part" he says as he goes to his room and comes out with his guitar on his back.

he smiles even wider and looks at me "wanna help with the amps?" he asks and i nod my head excited. dustin and i roll his two amps out side and we somehow managed to get them on top of eddie's house. dustin's walkie goes off "she's in, move on to phase three" robins voice crackles through the speaker

"copy that initiating phase three" dustin looks over and plugs the amps into the extension cords "let's hope they hear us" he says nervously as eddie mumbles "...this is for you" i couldn't catch what eddie said before that. he strums the first part and he starts playing master of puppets "oh my god..." i mumble and dustin nods his head to the beat as we watch eddie.

he keeps playing and i take dustin's binoculars to see the demobats heading our way "eddie! t minus thirty seconds!" i tell him holding on a three and zero with my fingers. he nods at me and still continues to play, dustin takes his binoculars back "t minus twenty!" dustin shouts at him and eddie starts playing the master of puppets solo as the demobats get closer

"t minus ten!" dustin shouts and i start getting nervous of how close they are coming "alright let's go!" i shout and we climb down the rv as the bars start swarming all around "shut it shut it!" dustin says and i close the make shift gate they made "come on!" eddie pulls me inside and all our chests heave from being out of breath
