The Gates (26)

AN: Sorry for not posting as often, I've been busy and have been thinking how to proceed with things. Especially with the death of 2 major characters. But they won't be the only casualties >:)

On the very same night that Nezuko fought the Uppermoon, her brother Tanjiro along with Kiyoko travelled to an unknown village that had reports of a demon. 

But the pair had been suspecting there would be a lot more than one demon. Travelling to the village with a massive Pagoda tower at the center of the village, the village stood near the  edge of a cliff. It had a border of mountains surrounding the village, and it still had some gates and walls around it. 

According to their owl, it had a cult and it was a restricted area from the government because every personnel they sent never reported back. Kokushibo had ignored this place for quite sometime due to other situations he had to cover, but this place hasn't left his attention. He decided now would be the perfect time to send his students, especially with Tanjiro. 

That same night, Tanjiro and Kiyoko were rushing over the mountains, it was a shame as the moon was at its peak right now and it was a very long night. They reach over at the gate, its wide open, but they had a bad feeling about it. 

"I don't have a good feeling about this." Tanjiro says a bit nervous for what they have to face. 

"Do not worry Teru Teru, I'm here for you." Kiyoko reassures him and places her hand on his shoulder 

"And I'm here for you Kiyo-hime." Tanjiro says with a bright smile, the two nod at one another before walking towards the front gate. 

But as they approach the gate, the couple gave one another a quick glance one another they quickly jump away from the gate, and as they land right on cue two demons lands at the front of the gate. 

Their arms are replaced with black wings, heads are covered by a hood, at the front of their chest were two arms, though they seem very thin, do not take it as if they won't have a weak grip. The two make an ear bleeding screech that forced Kiyoko and Tanjiro to cover their ears. 

"Intruders..." 

"They are demons! And they wield nichirin!" 

"They are a disgrace!!" 

The two winged demons spoke to one another, it was clear these two were the guards of the gates. Whoever they were it was obvious that they should not be underestimated in any way.  

"You are a disgrace!" One of the demons said 

"We shall kill you both!!" The two fly up high and began spinning, "Blood demon art: Twisting Quills" releasing a wave of feathers that shot out like flying knives. 

"Breath of Climate, Third Form: Winter tempest" A technique that unleashes a horizontal spin or could be shifted into a vertical spin 

Kiyoko spins around with her breath form, she deflects back all the feather like knives, knocking some onto others. With her graceful form, she deflects everything, protecting both her and her lover from harm. 

The two winged demons hiss at their opponents, clearly annoyed at her skills. But they thought going after Tanjiro would be an easier target, so they dived down towards him. They were dead wrong. 

"Breath of the moon, Second Form: Pearl Flower Moongazing" Tanjiro performs several crescent-shaped slashes that defend him from incoming attacks, sending a barrage of crescent blades.

The two were immediately dispatched as the attack sliced both their wings off and they land on their backs, their wings are unable to heal just yet as their regeneration speed was a bit slower and the attack from Tanjiro was brutal.
