Christmas Eve
Christmas! One of my favorite holidays right behind Valentine's Day. I'm laying in bed right now thinking of last minute gifts for the team, all I have left is gifts for Natasha, Steve and Alexis. I know I should know what my own sister wants, but this time I don't know.
I get out of bed and get ready to head to some shops to do gift shopping for the three people I haven't got gifts for. When I'm done getting dressed I sneak out the compound and get on my motorcycle and leave. I head into the city and the first store I go to is a jewelry store, I look around to see if I can find anything.
After a while I found something for Steve and Alexis. Now all I need to do is find a gift for Natasha. I head down the street to a random stores and finally find something for her. I text Emma telling her to meet me at a cafe near by. I walk into the cafe and order a coffee then sit down and wait for Emma to show up.
"Hey stranger, long time no see" Emma say sitting down across from me with a smile
"Hey Emma, how are you?" I say returning her smile
"Eh, some old same old, nothing much. How are you?" She asked
"I'm mean I'm normal, nothing new" I say with a shrug. We talk for a while, catching up when I get a phone call from Alexis
"Hey what's up?" I asked when I answered the call
"Get your ass here now," she yelled through the phone
"What why? What's wrong?" I asked concerned and confused
"There 'something' here for you! No hurry and get here NOW!" She said then hung up
"Well I guess I gotta go you can come if you want" I said as I stand up and grab my bags
"I don't have nothing else to do so why not" she agrees and stands up. We go outside and get on my bike, I speed all the way to the Compound.
I pull up and park out front and see Alexis walk up to us with a serous face. Uh oh, she's never serous. What happened now?
"There something waiting inside for you" she tells me and we head inside with Emma following close behind. When we make it to the living room I stop in my tracks. There's a mini version of me playing with Broody.
"Oh look who decided to show up!" Tony says sarcastically and I stay silent looking it the kid
"What took you so long!" Steve scolds and once again I stay silent
"A man dropped him off not to long ago saying your the father and his mother died yesterday" Alexis whispered in my ear and my lips slowly curve into a huge smile, I walk over to him and crotch next to him
"Hey kid, what's your name?" I asked and he looks at me then tackled me in a hug, we don't say anything, we just sit on the ground hugging each other, I didn't even notice Broody went to his mom
"Your my dad right?" He asked not pulling away, I look at Alexis and she nods
"Yeah buddy... I'm your dad" I say holding him a little tighter
"My mom talked about you so much. You remember my mom, her name was Ava, you remember her.. right?" He said looking up at me with sad eyes, and all the memories of the girl I once loved came rushing back. Ava helped me get my life straight after I escaped HYDRA, she was beautiful, long black hair, gorgeous brown eyes and amazingly soft tanned skin. She left me saying she needed a new start about 6 years ago and I was devastated. Now I know she most likely left because she was Pregnant.
"Yeah, I remember her," I say with a sad smile and he returns it
"By the way I'm Tom" he informed me and I smiled even more
"Well Tom, I'm Alex" I tell him and he hugs me again and of course I hug him back
"Alright for now Tom can stay with you" Steve tells me and I nod not letting go of the young boy, I look around the room for the first time to see everyone smiling at us and I look over at Emma to see that she has my bags and I give her a nod, she walks away and goes to my room to drop off the bags,
"Alright who's up for a movie night, tonight?!" Tony yells and we all agree
"Hey Tom, let's get you some clothes, and maybe some ice cream" I say whispering the last part
"Yeah!! Let's go!" He cheers. We stand up and got to the garage and I grab keys and we hop into Natasha's mustang. I'm sure she won't mind.
I drive us to the mall as Disney songs play, and we sing along. Tom is a little cutie, considering he's like a mini me.
I pull into the parking lot and park, we get out and I walk next to him holding his hand as we walk inside and start shopping. We get some matching outfits and I let him get whatever he wants.
We conclude our shopping and go back to the car, I put the bags in the trunk and drive us to a ice cream shop.
"So Tom, what's your favorite sport?" I asked keeping my eyes on the road
"Ummm, definitely Basketball" he said grinning
"Really! I love basketball! What's your favorite team" I asked
"I don't know but I love Stephen Curry" he answered
"Oh really? I looovve Kobe, he's the best" I say smiling
"What now way! Curry's way better!" He argues
"Oh whatever, Kobe could beat anyone in a one v one" I argue back as I pull into the parking spot in front of the shop
"Nope, I disagree, Curry could easily beat him" he says crossing his arms once we get out the car
"Yeah yeah, whatever floats your boat kid" I say smiling at him. We enter the ice cream shop and order our ice cream cones, Tom gets Rocky road and I get cookies and cream. We sit down and talk about anything and everything, and just getting to know each other. Turn out we have a lot in common.
