One hour later
I have been waiting a whole hour before I heard the elevator door open and seen Griffin walk in looking down at his phone,
"Hey there, it's Griffin correct" I say making him quickly look up at me
"What the hell are you doing here!?" He yelled and I stood up and put my hands up
"I'm not here to hurt you, I'm here to talk about Natasha and Broody" I say and his face drops
"Oh so she sent you to 'take care of me'?" He asked making his face stone cold
"No. No she didn't, I sent myself. And I have to say, I'm disappointed in you torture skills, I mean good job you gonna leave some scars, but god that was the essayist torture I've been through" I say and hear him growl?
"You are crazy-
"No Griffin, I'm Alex and if you don't sit down and listen then you won't be able to breathe or see the daylight again" I threatened with a stern deep voice and he quickly walked over to his desk and sat down across from me and then I sit
"What do you want" he spat out and I chuckled shaking my head
"I want you to leave Natasha and her family and friends alone, I will do you one favor then you have to leave them alone" I demanded and I see him think for a minute
"If I have to stay out of their lives so do you" he said with a smirk and I froze. I can't do that, can I
"Fine, I will only stay out of their lives for 7 years. That's it" I say
"That's long enough, and if you break you end of the 'deal' then tell Natasha that she won't see our son-
"You may be his father but he will never see you as a dad!" I cut him off and slam my fist on the desk breaking it
"Ooo, did I hit too close to home? 10 years, or bye bye Broody and maybe Tom too" he said grinning
"Leave him out of this! Or I will kill you personally!" I yell standing up and approach him and he also stands making us face to face
"You can try it, but how would Natasha feel... wait no, how will Broody feel when he finds out you killed his father" he says with a fake pout and I back up
"10 years, that's it." I say then walk towards the elevator
"That starts now so you can't go see them" he says making me stop
"Fine, just leave them alone" I say then enter the elevator.
Man this is gonna be the worst 10 years of my life. Once the 10 years are up everyone will already hate me and the boys will be 17, I'm gonna miss them. Once I reach the bottom floor I leave the building and get in my car and open the glove compartment and pull out a piece of paper and pen, and start to writing,
To: Tom
Hey kid I'm so sorry I had to leave two days after we met but know that I will never never stop thinking about you and the rest of our true family. By the time you get this I will be back in most likely a year or less, if nothing happens to me. I want you to stay strong for me and not tell anyone about this letter. You can talk to Emma and Peter about it but no one else. Trust me kid I never wanted this but in the end I made a decision to protect everyone we love.
Love you kid,
P.S. I have a box in my closet and it has two of my suits including a suit I made you in the little time I could, I want you to stay safe and look after Peter and Natasha. Remember if you want them all to stay safe you won't tell anyone about this.
I finished writing the letter and fold it and start driving to Emma's apartment. On the way I throw my phone out the window.
Emma's apartment
I park my car and head to the door, I reach the door and walk inside with the letter in my hand and hear Emma in the kitchen
"Emma we need to talk" I say once I turn the corner and she stops what she's doing and looks at me
"About what?" She asked and I sat down at the table
"Call Peter and tell him to get over here" I tell her ignoring her question
"Uhh ok," she said and called Peter, then we sat in silence as we waited for Peter to get here.
"I'm here! I got here as fast as I could" Peter said quickly walking inside and into the kitchen
"Alright, I'm gonna need you two to promise you won't tell anyone about this not even the team or Tom" I say and they promised they won't say a word. I explain to them that I have to leave for 10 years and cannot contact anyone but them and give Kate the letter
"I need you to give that to Tom when he is 16, and make him promise that he won't tell anyone, and as for Natasha, tell her I will be fine but don't tell anyone how long I will be gone or if I'm coming back," I say and I look at them to see they both have watery eyes
"What are you gonna do the whole time?" Peter asked sadly
"Change my name and looks and join the military. I still wanna help" I tell them with a sad smile
"Man imma miss you protecting all of us like the big brother you are" Peter said
"Hey you guy will be fine, y'all are superheroes, just watch each other's back's and I'll trust that you guys will be okay" I say and they both hug me and I hug back
"If they all hate you when you get back you still got us" Peter says and Emma nods
"Alright I gotta go Singh up so you two go talk to the team and don't tell them anything besides do not look for me and tell Wanda to stay out of your head Peter" I tell them pulling away
"Will do. Alex if you don't come back I will find you and kill you. We all need you" Emma said with a sniffle
"Yes ma'am. Now go!" I say and the leave with a good bye and I head to her office so I can apply to join the military as soon as possible.
