Jason woke up and found Percy asleep on the bed. He was mesmerized by the sight. jet black hair, pretty face, long neck, toned and leaned waist, the usual. But what caught his eyes the most was a single, small red cut on Percy's pink lips. Proof that Jason had kissed Percy.
Proof that Jason had left his mark on Percy.
Huh, Jason thought. How I would have done anything just yesterday for Percy to except me, and yet, here he is, more than excepting. Far more than excepting. It's like I'd confessed my crime to Percy, fearing I would get only disgust in return. But what do I actually get? Percy's hand to be partners in crime together.
Jason smiled.
Sweetly yet bitterly. Perfectly bittersweet.
He liked Percy, and Percy seemed to like him. Still, he insisted on being with Annabeth. Perfectly bittersweet, as I said. Jason wished Percy was self-aware. Self-aware of all the pain and suffering he had caused Jason every single second that passed when they weren't together. Self-aware that yet, he was still the reason Jason would wake up everyday with the same ray of sunlight kissing him, smiling in the bittersweet nature it had.
Bittersweet.
Most perfect word for the relationship Jason and Percy were in.
Bittersweet.
Bittersweet.
Bittersweet.
Just like morning sunlight. If you stay under it for a while, you feel like the fullest, the happiest person alive, both inside and out. Free and not a care in the world. But if you stay too long, it's soon that you feel the scorching heat burning your skin as time passes by.
Just like flowers. You smell them for a while. They make you the jolliest person, the merriest person. A sense of refreshment and peace overshadowing all your anxiety. But you go a little too close, and the pollen grains make you sneeze.
Just like love.
You fall in.
It feels sweet.
Bitter.
Bittersweet.

"Wake up, you shameless bastard!"
Percy heard the voice and slowly opened his eyes. He rubbed then and saw Jason, fully dressed, looming over him, with the specs resting on his nose.
"Wh-What? Why the hell am I a 'shameless bastard'?" he asked.
"Dude, shut the eff up. Do you even remember anything about that surprise you were gonna give Annabeth?"
"Well, fuck."
Percy, oh Percy, he thought to himself. Why are you so stupid, oh dear Percy?
"You said you were going to help me, though," Percy said, a glint of hope in his tone.
"You're damned. You're fucking damned and I'm not helping you," Jason declared.
"What?!" Percy exclaimed in disbelief, throwing his hand up. "You were the one who told Annabeth I was giving her a surprise!"
"But-"
"Jason, you piece of shit! Who told you to tell that to her? She's gonna be heartbroken if she finds out I was lying! We were lying."
"You were lying, Percy. I wasn't." Jason remarked. "It was you who had come to help me 'not' date that girl. You were the one who stayed at my home and played that stupid game of Between Us-"
"Among us"
"-and you were the one who slept at my place last night."
Percy sighed. " All right. It's my fault. Sorry"
"That's it?" Jason asked, mocking dissatisfaction.
"What else?" Percy asked, still in bed and still half naked.
"You're not gonna get on your knees or something?"
Percy blushed. What the hell, Jason? I'm not going to give you a mouth, you fucker.
"What do you mean? Dude, we're both guys," Percy remarked.
"I wanted you to beg for forgiveness," Jason said, lifting a brow. "What else did you think?"
"Oh, fuck you, Jason. Fuck you."
"Yeah, come. Come and fuck me."
"Bro- Are you for real?"

Percy looked at the dinner table, satisfied with his work. He had lasagna, pizzas, pastas, noodles, Mac 'n' Cheese, Greek salad as well as a Waldorf salad, blue waffles, blue Gatorade, blueberries pancakes and choco-chip cookies and ice cream for desserts. Everything was store-bought.
But the peanut-butter and jam sandwich. Well, it was the only thing he had made himself.
He had decorated the table with a fine table-cloth and rose petals in the shape of a heart. Percy even wanted to write with a petals, "I love you, Annabeth," but Jason said it was too much work and they didn't have enough time. Percy wasn't going to dispute that.
"Oh, and the bed?" Jason asked. "You have it ready? With the petals and everything?"
Percy blushed, though he was confused. After waking up, it was like Jason had forgotten everything that they had done just before going to sleep. It was like he had drunk some potion that would make one forget everything in the recent past. Or maybe Jason hadn't actually liked it, unlike what he showed. Maybe he was actually disgusted. Or maybe he was just overwhelmed by the sense of it.
Maybe he liked it so much, he didn't want to show it.
"Yeah, all fine," Percy said. After a pause, he continued, "And, um, thanks."
Quick as a cheetah, Percy gave Jason a small peck on the cheek, turning tomato red that very second.
Jason blinked his eyes. What the hell?
"Percy, what do you thing you're doing? How can you just-"
Just then, Percy's phone rang. The caller ID said 'Annabeth', so he picked it up, excitedly, all bromance instantly vanishing.
"Annabeth! Hey!" Percy squealed.
There was no answer.
"Uh, hi, Percy. I really gotta tell you something -"
"Oh my gosh, Anna, I'm so so so freaking excited for tonight!"
"Percy, wait. I don't think I'll be able to make it"
Percy was so shocked.
"What?" he asked, like the most heartbroken boy alive.
