FONDNESS

Impatience attacked me as I waited for Falcon to return with my food. I was hungry and I got hungrier by the second.
"Sorry I made you wait, bumped into a little problem" he said shyly.
Not paying much attention to his explanation, I snatched the food from his hands and gobbled it down.

I looked up to find four pairs of astounded eyes, staring down at me.
"What?" I asked with a mouthful.
They all started laughing and I realised how I had been eating like an animal.
"Sorry"
"Cute" Leo commented with a tint of fondness in his voice.

My stomach filled with butterflies everytime I heard his voice.
My eyes met his gaze and I immediately froze up. My lips parted as a connection grew between us.
The bell sounded in my ears and pulled me out of paradise.
"What class are you going to now?" Liam made his way to my side when I stood up.
"Oh uhmmm....let me check my time table, oh, I have Biology next"

"Great follow me"
"Bye guys, thanks for letting me join you....you not as boring as I thought you were" I joked and skipped behind Liam.
I'm a real bummer when I'm hungry but once I'm full....my energy goes from zero to a million.

I never thought my first day would have went so smoothly. I thought I'd be quiet the whole day and dreading every second that went by, but I was actually smiling and laughing the whole day.

I've only known these people for a few hours and yet, they had already made me feel accepted...I actually felt like I fitted in somewhere.

"So why did you choose Biology mousey?"
"Mousey?" I laughed at the nickname he had given me.
"It's your nickname, one only I can call you by" he spoke out pridefully.
"I got that, but why mousey? I mean am I that small?"
"Well your adorable just like a mouse, no wonder Leo...." He suddenly stopped talking.
"Continue" I pouted.
"Uhhhh.....no wonder he....he...got offended when you were rude to him, yeah that's it."
"Right.." I agreed with him not believing his story.

We walked into class and it was amazing. The teacher is the most enthusiastic person I've ever met, after me ofcourse.
Which is really weird because biology teachers are usually very, very boring and draining.

I went to the rest of my classes alone since neither one of the boys had class with me after bio, which sucked.
I agreed to go get ice cream with them after school, afterall I had nothing to do.
Got no girlfriends to hang out with.
Falcon, Liam, Leo and Kyle were actually the only people I knew around here.

Walking to my locker, I spotted the boys waiting for me there.
Falcon and Liam were arguing about God knows what and Leo, annoyed...kept rolling his eyes at their bickering.
Kyle was nowhere to be found.
I gotta admit, having them around all the time felt like I had my own personal body guards.
They were all huge and I was so tiny compared to all of them.

I still think Leo might be a werewolf.
"Buttercup! Let's go.....we have the whole day planned out for you" He gave me one of his breathtaking smiles and filled my stomach with butterflies once again.
Leo threw a hand over my waist as we exited the school.

Falcon and Liam were still arguing, until we got to Leo's car.
"Where's Kyle" I asked looking around as if I had spotted him approaching the car.
"Oh....he can't join us today, he has a date with Emma"
"His girlfriend?" I asked excitedly.
"Yes, his girlfriend" He responded with a smile as he drove out of the parking lot.

"You guys gonna stop fighting anytime soon?" They both stopped fighting and folded their arms to their chests like little kids. Leo looked at me and we started laughing.
I opened the window and breathed in the fresh air that hit my face.

I felt happy with them.
