PERPLEXITY

I flutter my eyes open to find myself wrapped in someone's arms. Confused by who it is, I stir in these arms and turn to look at him.
Bewildered by his gorgeousness, I gulp, taking in his features.
His dark brown locks lazily fall on his face, and his eyes, delicately closed in peaceful slumber.

I watch as his chest heaves up and down, tempting me to trail my fingers on his skin.
I struggle to move in his firm hold, but once I do, I leave a light kiss on his lips, smiling when he murmurs something.
He seems to still be asleep so I break free and climb on top of him, straddling him.
Eager to see those heavenly green orbs, I crash my lips to his, nibbling on his bottom lip till he awakes.

He grabs my waist and a groan leaves his lips as we move in perfect sync.
I finally pull away to catch my breath, good thing I don't have morning breath problems.
"I want to be woken up like this, every morning" A smile manufactures on his face and it makes me, smile.
"Good morning mi amor" I say giggling, getting off his lap and laying next to him.

We stare at the roof like it is something interesting, stuck in our own world, while I play with his locks.
My brows scrunch up in perplexity and I sit up straight with my back against the head board.
How did we get here?
I look over to Leo to find him with the same expression.

"I-I died last night. How..how am I here?" I stutter.
Leo looks at me with an aching expression, like his heart has been torn to pieces.
Soon after, the images of Archreon and the cave and Leo swim into my mind.
Remembering my wound, I look down at the tank top I'm in, scanning it.

"Maybe it was just a nightmare" Leo finally voices out.
"So we had the same nightmare?" I ask dumbfounded, not really expecting an answer from him.
I get off the bed, pacing back and forth while fiddling with my fingers.
"Look, I don't know. I thought he killed you and you were in my arms, bleeding to death and now we're here so I really, don't know." He says slightly panicking.

"How about we get something to eat and then we think this through, yeah?" He gestures for me to follow him to the kitchen and then I realise, I don't even know where I am!
"Wait. Where are we? Is this your house?" I start tapping my fingers as a nervous feeling grows in the pit of my stomach.

"Yes, calm down. You're safe here" he says cupping my face with his hands.
"Wait, uhmmm....let me freshen up." I say walking towards a door I assume is the bathroom.
Opening the door I am welcomed by a beautiful black and white bathroom.

I look for an extra tooth brush in the cabinets and cheer when I find one.
After brushing my teeth I decide that I might as well take a shower instead of just washing my face, and then having to come back for a shower.

I step out of the shower and wrap a grey towel around my form. Before walking back into his room, I take a peek to check if he's there. Seeing that he isn't, I quickly run towards the door and lock it. Then walk towards his closet to get something to wear.
I settle for his boxers and a black shirt.
Tying my hair up into a messy bun, I slip on some slippers and make my way towards the kitchen.

It doesn't take me a while to find the kitchen and I am greeted by his bare back when I walk in. I try not to drool and make my way to the table. He sets a plate before me and I gobble up my food like I haven't eaten in ages. He goes back to the kitchen counter and comes back with his plate, settling it beside mine. He picks me up and then occupies my chair, setting me on his lap.

My eyes widen and I protest because of the sudden act. He shuts me up by shoving a berry in my mouth.
"Eat your food buttercup." He says calmly while rubbing my waist.
I decide to shrug it off and fill myself up.
Once he is done eating, he wraps both his arms around my waist and snuggles his face into my neck.

"I love you buttercup"
I freeze, bewildered.
"....Thanks?" I say awkwardly and he chuckles lightly.
"Come on, let's go find out what's going on" he moves me and makes me stand beside him before he leads me into a small library in his apartment.

"Winter, that wasn't just a cave he took you to." His gaze meets mine.
"What do you mean?" I ask confused and I suddenly feel overweighted, emotionally.
