"These exams are kicking my ass right now," Donghyuck groaned into the table. The three friends were currently studying, or what most people called it, cramming, for their end-of-the-semester finals. Their first semester as freshman's was finally coming to an end thankfully, but there was still an obstacle waiting for them.

"My brain is practically brain dead," Renjun added while throwing his head back in frustration.

"It's not that bad guys," Jaemin chuckled, never moving his eyes away from the highlighted text in front of him. It really wasn't that bad for Jaemin because, unlike like Donghyuck and Renjun, he always chose to study weeks in advance for his exams.

"I'll never cram like this ever again," Donghyuck deemed.

"That's a lie."

"Shut up 'injunie'."

"You told him!?" Renjun looked at Jaemin in disbelief.

"It couldn't be helped," Jaemin shrugged.

"You little-"

"Shhh," Donghyuck hit the top of the boy's head with his pen, "we're in a library and you're being too loud."

"Whatever," Renjun rolled his eyes. The other two boys quietly chuckled amongst themselves as they resumed studying for their exams.

"Wait," Renjun closed his textbook. They knew the boy was finished even if there wasn't enough information retained, "what are you two doing for the holidays?"

"Mark," Donghyuck deadpanned.

"Hyuck!" Jaemin squealed.

"Shhh," Renjun placed his hand over the younger's mouth.

"I'm joking," the brunette chuckled. He found joy in seeing his best friend squirm from his outspokenness.

"Are you though?" A new voice joined their study table. "Mark hyung," Donghyuck's face flushed pink. Describing the situation as an embarrassing one would be an understatement to the boy. Mark, on the other hand, enjoyed seeing the other become shy at his freely spoken words. In fact, he didn't oppose the idea either.

"Get a room you two," Jeno suddenly said while taking a seat next to Jaemin.

"Sounds like your jealous," Renjun teased him. He and Jeno weren't as close as Jeno and Mark, but the boy could proudly say their friendship wasn't far behind. After the three of them went to summer camp together in middle school, it was safe to say they became a group of three that following school year. Which had its perks because, being the social butterfly he was, Donghyuck inevitably stole him away and introduced him to Jaemin.

"I'd expect you to be," Jeno mumbled below his breath. No one else heard him besides Jaemin. Which was why the younger looked visibly confused by the other's words.

"Jeno?" Jaemin tried to keep his voice as low as possible.

"Yeah?"

"What'd you mean by that?"

"By what?" Jeno replied, taking out one of his textbooks and a binder from his bag.
