You woke up with one of the worst headaches ever, that aspirin didn't do shit last night. Regardless you continued to get ready to leave. Yesterday Steve said he would drive you to school to repay you for leaving the party.

And sure enough Steve was waiting outside your house, after you finished getting ready you practically ran down the stairs to go meet up with him.
"You look like hell." He said with a chuckle.
"Yeah I know." You responded also with a chuckle. After you got in the passenger seat there was some akward silence for a few minutes until you decided to speak up.
"So you wanna talk about what happened between you and Nancy?"
"She just said she didn't love me and our whole thing was bullshit, like I said yesterday." He said. You could hear that he was sad about it, you can't really blame him.
"We should meet up after school and go out, just to take your mind of things." You proposed while looking his way. He nodded and also looked your way, with a weak smile.

"So how was the rest of the party?" He asks, changing the subject.
"It was pretty boring, I left shortly after you did."
"Who did you get a ride from?" He asks. You didn't really want to tell him because he would lecture you about it, but you shouldn't lie to him either.
"The Hargrove kid." You responded while looking dead ahead the the road, you could see him staring at you out of the corner of your eye.
"Hargrove?!" He says kind of loudly.
"Yes Steve calm down." You said with a chuckle.
"That kids a dick, why ask him?" He questioned.
"He's not all bad, saved my ass from some drunk guy grabbing me." You responded.
"Ok that's the only good things he's done to either of us."
"Steve I know, I wasn't going to hang with him outside of school. Probably just going to thank him again." You said. He looked at you and sighed.

When you pulled up to school, the usual popular group was standing together, this time they were staring at Steve and you.
"Why are they staring?" Steve whispered.
"Beats me." You responded. Although that was a lie. You knew exactly why. You had gotten a ride from Billy therefore everyone's mind immediately thought you slept together. Another joy of Highschool. You thought to yourself. When you and Steve walked by they whispered to themselves and laughed.
"Well today's gonna be fun." You said sarcastically. Steve nodded.

"I'll see you in gym." Steve said while smiling.
"See ya then." You said back to him. Once he had walked away you heard a bang on the locker. You jumped and glared at the person there. Hargrove. Great.
"Hey." He said with a smile.
"What do you want Billy?"
"Wow man what's with the tude?" He says with a laugh.
"Did you tell people we slept together or are they so stupid that's the first thing their mind went to?" You asked.
"I sure as hell didn't." He replied.
"Good." Thats all you said beofre you walked away. He caught back up to you.
"What?" You asked just a bit annoyed.
"I was wondering if you could help me with English." He asked. You suck at English to so I don't know why he asked you. The first few days he's been here he saw that you sleep through most of that class.
"I don't recall half of what we've learned in the past few weeks."
"Better than me, I don't pay attention at all." He says with a chuckle.
"I guess but not outside of school, I won't waste my free time with school." You responded.
"Cool. See you in English?" He asked you.
"Mhm." You responded.

As much as Steve doesn't like him, and you don't really either, Billy wasn't all bad. Just kind of annoying when he's around his jock friends. But by himself he can actually form a sentence without sounding like a dick.

Gym rolled around and you met up with Steve right before the boys basketball game started.
"So your helping Hargrove with English?" He says kinda pissed.
"He fucking told you?" You responded also sounding pissed.
"I overheard him talking about it with his jock friends." Steve responded.
"Yeah I was going to, maybe not now. He's probably going to spread rumors or something." You said. That was typical for Highschool boys.
"I just don't think he's the kind of person you want to hang out with Lynn." He said.
"I don't want to hang out with him, just not being a jerk, it's the least I can do for the ride home." You replied.
"Fair enough." Once again, same as a few days ago, the boys came out shouting. Steve rolled his eyes and waved goodbye.
"Good luck!" I shouted. He would need it, mostly because Billy couldn't realize this is just a game and he takes it way to far.

Sure enough, after a few minutes of the game staring, Billy and Steve were hitting heads again. Billy of course pushed Steve to the ground again. And everyone cheered. This time Billy elbowed him in the gut. So just like before this sent you over the edge. You really have to stop being so easy to piss off. You though to yourself.

You walked over to where Steve was and helped him up. He smiled. Then out of nowhere the gymnasium doors slammed open. Low and behold Nancy was there.
"Steve!" She shouted. He ignored.
"Steve!" She shouted once more. I'm very close to smacking her in the face.
"I'll be back in a minute." He said to you. And he walked over to Nancy.

You took this opportunity to speak to Billy. You pulled him over to the side by his arm and he glanced at his friends and smirked.
"Why did you tell people I was going to help you with English?" You asked him.
"I didn't think it was a big deal." He replied still smiling.
"It's not, besides the fact people are going to think we fucked." You said, not to loud, but still loud enough to where some people could hear.
"I think your exaggerating." He said.
"This is Highschool Billy, that's all people think about." You said to him. Then you see Tommy walking over to you guys.
"Wow Billy relationship problems?" Tommy said while laughing.
"Piss off." You said to him.
"Wow feisty!" He said to you.
"And we are not a thing I can barley stand him!"
"That's not what everyone else is saying." Tommy said with a smirk.
"Honestly I don't fucking care anymore, believe what you want." I said to him.
"Come on man that's enough." Billy said. Tommy looked at him with utter disbelief. I smiled a bit.
"Really dude?" Tommy said.
"Yes 'really' nothing happened between us." Billy said, he sounded kind of mad.
"Bullshit." He said with a laugh.
"The whole school thinks you slept with him. You won't change their minds." Tommy snickered. Tommy mutters the word 'slut' under his breath and this sent you over the edge. You walked to him, tapped his shoulder, and punched him square in the face. God what did you do? You thought to yourself his nose started to bleed and he looked like he was about to hit you in return. Then you saw Steve walking back in the gym, he looked over and saw Tommy's nose was bleeding.

"Wow what happened here? Tommy finally get what he deserves?" Steve said with a laugh.
"Yeah." I said with a laugh to.
"Bitch!" Tommy yelled at you.
"Thank you!" You said with a smile. You and Steve walked out of the gym and got ready for your next class.

The whole time you and Steve talked about what happened between him and Nancy. You really wanted to punch her.
"See you at lunch!" Steve shouted as you made your way into the next classroom. Of course, with your luck, Tommy was in this class. He glared at you the whole time. You took a seat as far away from him as you could.

Today was going to be a long day.
