A/N: In this book, you will be seeing the POV of all characters, not just one main character, because then it will make more sense as the story goes on.
The sun was just setting, and covering the usual light blue skies were glowing whisps of yellow, pink, and maybe even a slight bit of violet, just beyond that.
Around this time, humans would be curling up in their small little nests, about to go to sleep so they could wake up early in the morning to go work.
But not the wolves. You see... they're work started just as soon as the sun set...
Crickets chirped repeatively, seeming to be arguing over who had the loudest, most enfuriating chirping noises ever. The moon was full, and it seemed like the stars stretched on for sky-lengths upon sky-lengths... which... they probably did, to be fair.
Down on the snow-covered forest floor, a dark muzzle poked out from the undergrowth, whiskers twitching as if the creature was scenting the air. A pause, and then a short, quiet sneeze, and a she-wolf padded out. Her pelt was dark gray, and criss-crossed with silver accents on her face, back, legs, and tail.
A jet black wolf with vibrant ice blue eyes leaped out beside her, his ears twitching." You smell anything yet, Eclipse?"
The she-wolf--- Eclipse--- shook her head." I'm surprised, honestly.." her voice was a low murmer." I would've thought that... that there would've been prey out by now. Do you think something's wrong?"
The dark wolf glanced over at her." No, I don't think so... It's winter, remember. Prey is more scarce, and will be a bit harder to find." That would be Midnight; the caring friend that kept the two in line (or so was his thoughts) and out of trouble.
Yet another male padded out behind the two." Midnight's right. You shouldn't worry yourself over these thoughts, Eclipse."
This was Ore. Probably the most open-hearted one out of the three friends. His pelt was a beautiful gold-brown, and dappled with other colors that represented pieces of ore. He also had two accessories; steam punk goggles that rested on his head, and a yellow and black bandana. This wolf had had a crush on Eclipse ever since they were pups. Even now his heart fluttered, being right next to her. He was just glad that he was able to hunt with her--- even though she had no idea about his crush.

Nearby, padding alongside a creek, was a rogue. His dull green and fiery orange ombre eyes flickered ominously from the shadows. The moonlight falling through the tree-top's leaves dappled his blood red pelt, making his white accents seem to glow and his dark accents stay in shadow; Like stripes of darkness that criss-crossed his soul, but with slight light and/or empathy showing through. This was Oni--- the grumpy red chihuahua who ripped off wolf's tails for a living.
And no... he isn't... he isn't actually a chihuahua...
Oni flicked up his ears as he spotted a rabbit close by. Clearly, he was much more lucky than the Creek Pack patrol, who he wasn't aware of just yet. And he was hungry... He hadn't eaten in... how long had it been? Well, that didn't matter. His ribs were clearly visible underneath his fur; That should prove that he was starving to death.
With a smirk, he lowered himself to the ground, preparing himself to chase the rabbit...
....One step...
Two steps...
Three steps...
Four...
Pounce!
He leaped for the rabbit, but ended up landing only in a flattened patch of snow. The rabbit had darted ahead, deeper in the forest. And like the idiot Oni was... he chased it.
