Midnight would glance over his shoulder as he heard the call, his eyes wide. Oh no... " WE NEED TO GET OUT OF HERE!" He snapped to the others who ran ahead of him.

" You don't say!" Oni snapped right back at him, still hauling Eclipse after him." I mean.. I didn't even notice that we were being chased by a whole Pack! It's really unnoticeable for me!"

While he was speaking, Eclipse tore herself away from him with her ears flat, falling behind the group. She wasn't leaving. She was just making sure that if the Pack caught up to them, she would be the first one to be taken, and maybe give the others a chance to leave.

Midnight looked over his shoulder at her." Eclipse, what are you-"

" GO!" She growled.

Midnight opened his mouth to protest, but she gave him a rough nudge, which sent him reeling into Ore, who stumbled a bit with a yelp, trying to keep Wendigo secure on his back.

Oni looked over his shoulder, alerted by the noise, and gave a snarl of frustration. Is she crazy? He bounded back to her and grabbed her once again." If the Pack comes, they come!" He growled through the fur of her scruff." But they won't find us... because I know a perfect place to hide." He dragged her up front with him again.

" Arghhhh!" Eclipse groaned, shaking herself furiously to rid him from her fur." Fine! You don't need to drag me around the whole forest to prove your point!" Her eyes flashed with fury, but she wasn't really angry with Oni. It was the whole entirety of the Creek Pack that she hated at the moment.

Ore seemed to read her mind as he righted himself steadily on all four paws again." I swear.. one day I'll murder that Pack, and Riverbank and those horrid Betas will be the first to go."

Midnight murmured a soft agreement.

Oni gave her a look." Listen, I know you're mad. And I am too, believe me. But that's no excuse to get yourself killed, you idiot princess! And besides. I'm saving your fluff."

Eclipse gave a low growl, her fur bristling." I get it. Sorry," she snapped, not sounding really sorry at all. Might as well let her throw her tantrum...

A few moments later, Oni stopped at a huge, uprooted, hollowed out tree. Bushes lined the entrance." We can hide here."

Eclipse snorted sarcastically." Great! A bunch of bushes and a log! This is the perfect hiding spot, Oni! Absolutely a perfect hiding... " she trailed off as the red wolf crawled through the bushes and into the log. Eclipse huffed irritably and poked her head in to see him... disappear?

" Wha..." Eclipse muttered, crawling in after him. She started when she felt herself going suddenly downward... and then she dropped onto a soft, dirt floor. For a moment, she was in complete darkness. When her eyes adjusted, she realized that there was some tunnel system inside the tree trunk. Six dens lined the left side of the first tunnel, all formed by a little cove of roots with moss and dirt lined at the bottom. Two other tunnels split off in different directions. The light was dim coming in from the entrance, but you were still able to see.

For larger wolves, like Oni, you were able to stand, but keep your head low so it didn't bonk the hard dirt roof. The red wolf crawled into one of the dens and curled up, resting his head on the outside floor, looking slightly smug.

Midnight poked his head in right beside Eclipse." Whoa.." he whispered, forcing his way through the bushes to look around with wide eyes." How did you- Ow," he hissed as his head hit the roof." How did you find this place?" He asked.

" What do you expect us rogues to do? Now hush," Oni's voice lowered." I hear them coming..."

Alerted immediately, Midnight rushed into one of the dens. Eclipse stayed behind and crawled up into the log again. She helped Ore drag Wendigo through the entrance. " Thanks," Ore panted as he lay the Omega into another den and crawled into the one next to it.
