♡~Chapter Two: "Bold Of You To Assume"~♡

" Why are you following me?"

Oni raised a brow at the gray and silver she-wolf pinned under his paws. She'd just nonchalantly padded right into his clearing and had been looking at his little structure. The fool hadn't even noticed that he'd been only a couple of fox-lengths away, and he had been able to tackle her and pin her down easily.

He pressed a paw to her neck, a low growl rising in his throat when she didn't answer." Tell me, pack wolf.... What's so interesting about a rogue who's just enjoying his meal?"

Eclipse took in short, shallow breaths, hardly able to breath with the pressure on her neck. The rogue was indeed very thin, his ribs sticking out sharply from his messy blood red pelt. But he was clearly strong... and didn't say no to a fight. Great... I had to stumble right into his clearing without even thinking twice... and now he's pinned me. What is your plan now, O Great Eclipse? " I wasn't... following you..." she muttered." I.. just... want to talk..."

" HAH! Not falling for that again, princess," Oni increased the pressure on her thtoat, digging his claws in a little bit. Not to hurt the she-wolf, just to give her a warning that if she moved, he would snap her neck in a heart-beat." By 'talk', you mean you'd like to rip my ears and tail off. And I'd rather not have that happen today..."

Eclipse stiffened at the nickname, 'princess', wincing slightly. " Wha--- Nevermind.." she growled." Listen. Why don't you think about this, furball? If I really wanted to attack you, I would've ambushed you instead of wandering in and just ask to be attacked. I don't want to hurt you and... I don't think you want to hurt me... Just let me up, and we can figure something out. Besides.. me and you..? We might be more alike than we seem.."

Oni huffed." You think I'll let up a pesky pack wolf who was disturbing a wolf such as I?" His tail swished. Besides his words, he was thinking about it. The she-wolf seemed weak.. he could kill her in an instant if she decided to attack him. But that last part made him angry..." How are we alike in any way? Is it the fact that you actually got trained to fight? Is it the fact that you get a good meal every single day? Oh wait... I know..." His shoulders tensed, and a fresh pang of pain hit him." It's the fact that you still have friends, and your Pack, and your father. Not me, who travels all alone because I was seperated from my Pack after a stupid rogue killed my father!"

The blood red wolf glared down at Eclipse, who was shocked into silence. But she was curious as well... He had once been a Pack wolf? How had he been separated after his father died? Why couldn't he just go back? Did the rogue drive him out of the Pack's territory? Her head brimmed with questions, yet she stayed silent.

And eventually, that curiosity turned into anger and annoyance.

Had this wolf really just assumed that she had a perfect life, just because she was a Pack wolf?

Oni gave a long sigh. He didn't necessarily know why he'd blurted everything out to this... this Pack wolf. Maybe he just wanted someone to listen for once. But really... he was foolish for thinking she'd listen. With a low growl, he backed off of the she-wolf.

" Me and you will never be alike," he muttered." We live in two different worlds; and that's that." He turned to walk away. But he found himself stopping in his tracks as the she-wolf spoke--- no snarled--- at him.

" Bold of you to assume I even have a father," Eclipse had forced herself to her paws and whipped around, glaring at the rogue." Bold of you to assume I have that many friends! Bold of you to assume, that I have this... perfect, and amazing life! Because I don't! And you know why? Because of a stupid choice that I didn't even make!" She flexed her claws. Right now, she felt like tearing this arrogant tresspasser's pelt off! But wisely, she chose against it.
