♡~Chapter Three: The Pack's True Identity~♡

Eclipse padded back over to the patrol, her ears forward and her tail wagging." Well? Did you catch anything?"

Midnight answered her question with another question, narrowing his gaze." Did that wolf attack you?" He crept around her, studying her closely for any injuries.

It was a reasonable question; Eclipse did look like she had gotten into a fight. Her dark silver and gray fur was ruffled and covered with snow. But aside from that, there was no injuries. She lowered her head." Uh yeah.. we did get into a little scuffle. He pinned me down, but then he realized that I was no threat. He should be leaving the territory now."

Ore approached her, smiling." I saw he was tagging along for a bit. Did you lose your way again, and he had to help you back?" He sniffed her anxiously, before licking some of the snow off of her head.

Eclipse shook herself fiercely to rid the rest of her pelt of the cold white fluff." Uh, no!" She snapped." He was just... uh... being an annoying furball and folowing me everywhere! Yeah, that's it! Mhm, totally."

" Mhmmmm," Midnight smirked, earning a swat to the nose as a thank you.

From nearby, Ash inturrupted with a sigh." Anyways... now that that problem is dealt with.. I think it's about time we went back. We can't find any prey anyways..." despite her sounding so casually annoyed, there was a flicker of worry in her yellow eyes. It was understandable; Anyone would worry about not having enough food for the Pack.

Ore twitched his ears up." Wait a minute!" He swiveled his gaze toward a snow-dusted bush a few paces away.

Ash blinked." What are you---"

Ore inturrupted her by leaping straight under the bush. There was a shrill squeal that was cut off, and the brown-gold wolf appeared again, a rabbit in his jaws.

Eclipse gave a bark of delight, wagging her tail." Nice catch, Ore!" She sniffed it approvingly--- although it was just one rabbit, any food for the Pack was good enough.

Ore smiled, his voice muffled through the white fur." Thanks! Now let's---"

He was cut off by another wolf joining them." Hey!" Wendigo chirped, trotting up to them. He delicately held a flower in his mouth." What are you guys doing?"

" Hey!" Ore replied, while Midnight gave the Omega a polite nod. Ash, of course, just turned away with a low growl.

Eclipse glanced over." Oh, hey Wendigo!" She greeted the Omega warmly; Even though she didn't know him that well, she'd seen him in the healers den before after some wolves had abused him. They'd talk for a little bit, and they considered eachother as friends." What's the flowers for?"

Wendigo flicked his ears." Oh nothing... just my mother wasn't feeling very well since, y'know... my father was killed not too long ago. So I thought I would give her some flowers to cheer her up!" Despite this, his ears were up. If he wasn't wearing his deer skull, Eclipse would've seen the light in his eyes as well." The best part is is that they're her favorite winter flowers too."

" Aww, I'm sorry," Eclipse's ears went down, and she smiled lightly. Well... this proves that my life could be a whole lot worse, she told herself." I'm sure she'll appreciate them though!"

" That's sweet of you," Ore said, before turning away." Anyways- Do you want to go back now?"

Eclipse nodded." Yep!" She glanced back at Wendigo." Want to tag along?"

The Omega nodded, but instead of sticking with the patrol, he darted up ahead of the patrol, toward the camp.

Eclipse laughed and bounded after him.
