Bakugo jerked his head profusely, trying to clear his mind, but he could not shake off the mental invasion as it intensified. Images became more vivid, more convincing as the young hero's head started to throb in agony. His eyes began to dilate as they glazed over, dissociating.

Ren looks upset as her voice breaks over the sound of the television. The veins pulsing in her neck and her fist clenching as he stands there, yelling back. Their relationship is crumbling before his eyes as shards of that memory crack like glass. He struggled to detach from that reality, his body quivering in place.

Leon sneered with pure delight as he strode closer to the disoriented hero. Swiftly, Leon closed the space between them. "A hero's greatest weapon is their mind," he said calmly, tapping his finger on the hero's temple. "If you can't control your thoughts, you can't govern the battlefield."

In a fluid motion, Leon swept Bakugo's legs from beneath him. Bakugo struck the ground, and his head persisted to pound profusely. Leon pinned him, using his support items to immobilize his body. "It's over, Dynamight," Leon's voice laced with dissatisfaction. "I expected more, but you really dropped the ball this time."

Bakugo didn't resist the constraints; his senses crashed like the ocean tides with memories, unable to tell the real from the fake. As he takes in a shallow breath, his heart is hammering in his chest, unable to recognize that he had been outwitted not just physically, but mentally. The match was lost, and Leon portrayed a victorious grin on his face, having revealed a vulnerability Bakugo didn't even know he had.

The sudden noise caught Leon off guard as he eased the tension on Bakugo's body, and he attempted to locate the source, his awareness momentarily diverted from the incapacitated hero. He fluttered his eyes, straining to have a better notion of what he glimpsed from a distance.

A soft wailing noise started to grow louder as Kirishima soared through the air towards Leon, propelled by a red aura. Turning Kirishima into a human projectile. "Red Riot incoming!" the hero shouted.

A sharp intake of air hitched in the back of Leon's throat. Bakugo gasped deeply for air and was starting to reorient himself from the mental prison.

With a fierce growl, Bakugo summoned every ounce of his strength and willpower as he pressed against the residual of the mental intrusions, trying to force clarity back into his mind. "I won't... be beaten... that easily!" he snarled through gritted teeth.

Leon reluctantly released his grip on his quirk, the restraints loosening around Bakugo at last. With no time to waste, the explosive hero sprang into action. Feeling the surge of freedom, he unleashed a tremendous blast from both hands, rocketing himself away from Leon in an exhilarating explosion of power.

You extended your arms as if trying to grasp him, pulling the hero closer with an unyielding force.

Bakugo slammed into you, the impact sending waves of pain radiating through your chest, abdomen, and back as you tumbled to the ground, landing partially on him. You bit back a groan. Gently brushing the dirt from his face, you met his fierce crimson gaze. "Bakugo, are you alright?" Concern threaded through your voice, betraying your worry for him.

Struggling to steady his breath, Bakugo gently brushed the back of his fingers against your cheek, his touch warm and tentative. He drew in a deep breath, searching for calm amidst the chaos. "Please tell me your dumbass is real?" he asked, vulnerability lacing his voice.

Pain lances through the hero's head as you shift him off of you. "Damn, why did you drop my head like that?"

"I didn't drop you; I simply shifted you off me. There's a distinct difference." There was a hint of sass in your words. "Honestly, how are you holding up? Leon's quirk can be overwhelming at times."
