I miss you and I wish you'd stay

Do you ever wonder if the stars shine out for you?

Float down

Like autumn leaves

And hush now

Close your eyes before the sleep

And your miles away

And yesterday you were here with me

"Good morning, baby

"Good morning, baby." I hear a whisper in my ear followed by small pecks traveling up my bare chest.

My eyes open to find those beautiful hazel ones. Her hair is a mess in front of her face, her cheek red from the pressure of laying on my chest, but her smile is the most perfect first thing to see every morning.

"Hi." My voice croaks out, eyes fluttering, a small smile forming on my lips at the sight of my favorite person laying right next to me.

"It's Thanksgiving." She tells me.

"Yeah?" I turn my body on my side to face her and pull her into me. My hand coming up to brush her hair out of her face. "And what are you thankful for? Tell me."

"You. Always thankful for you." She giggles, her face falling down into my chest.

God, that laugh makes my heart race. Every. Single. Time.

"You are? What else?" I try to lift her head up, but she won't budge.

Always so shy around me for no reason.

"Talk to me, baby." I kiss the top of her head. "Let me hear my favorite sound."

Her head peaks up slowly, eyes trailing to the end of the bed where Archie's crate is.

"I'm thankful for our baby Archie and our apartment that we made our home." She smiles as she traces over my butterfly tattoo with her finger. "And I'm so so thankful I get to love you."

"Me too." I say. "Me fucking too." My two hands finds the side of her face and kiss her so passionately.

No words can even describe how thankful I am she stumbled into my life. No words can even describe just how much I am in love with her.

I remember the moment I brought Archie home a few weeks ago. The way her eyes lit up, her smile wide from ear to ear. She fell in love instantly.

I thought after seven years, it was time to move into the next step of our relationship.

Since the moment I met her I knew she was the one I wanted to spend the rest of my life with. From our first conversation together in class, I was completely infatuated with her.
