it's me, my love.
"i don't know about this dress, isabelle." i said as i looked down at the dress isabelle gave me to wear.
"look, i'm sorry but thats all i could find in your size." she replied back.
the dress she picked out for me was a very showy, skin tight dress. going down to my mid thigh, spaghetti straps, showing way to much of my boobs, cleavage, and fit my body to tightly. showing off my very now obvious curves.
"let me see," clary said, "it can't be worse than mine."
i sighed and walked out of isabelle's walk in closet, where i changed, and stood in front of isabelle and clary.
"it's really not that bad." isabelle said smiling, "here." she said as she handed me a pair of combat boots that had heels attached to them. "sorry, i'm just very open and comfortable with my body."
"no, no, it's ok. it's just a bit small is all." i told her as i took a seat on her bed, slipping on the boots she gave me, which surprisingly fit me very well, and zipping them up as i stood up. walking in any type of heels was no problem for me, i just hated how they hurt my ankles so much.
"you look beautiful." clary said smiling at me.
"so do you." i smiled back at her.
i picked up the same leather jacket i was wearing from earlier, jaces jacket, as slipped it on as i moved my hair from under the collar of it. i looked in the mirror at the finished outfit.
"come here, clary." isabelle said as clary walked over to her. isabelle pulled back her hair into a ponytail with a few strands of hair hanging out.
"i don't think alec likes me very much." i told them both as i walked over to them.
"alec is my brother, if you haven't already seen the resemblance, but just ignore him. he doesn't like anyone." isabelle explained as she finished doing clary's hair, "your turn."
"my turn?" i asked her confused.
"uh, yes, your turn." she said as she sat me down in a chair, parting my hair to put it in two french braids. "like i was saying, alec has never actually liked anyone outside of this family."
"why's that?" clary asked her as she watched isabelle do my hair.
"i'm not to sure, actually." isabelle said with a scrunched up face.
"does jace know how alec feels about him?" i asked.
"not exactly." isabelle sighed, "deep down i think jace has always known but alec is jaces parabatai."
"what's a parabatai?"
"it's a pair of nephilim warriors who fight together as lifelong partners, bound together by oath, regardless of their gender. their bond is not reflected only in their closeness and willingness to lay down their lives for one another, but also in oath. so basically jace can feel whatever it is alec feels for him, you know what i mean?" isabelle explained as she was finishing up my hair.
"does jace feel the same way?"
"no, he doesn't. and alec knows he doesn't but he just continues to fight the thought of never being able to actually be with jace."
"that's actually kind of sad." i looked down, feeling sorry.
"i suppose it is, but there's nothing anyone can do about it. now, get up and get ready to leave." she smiled softly as she walked into her closet.
"is this the part where we stand outside her room and wait?" clary asked me.
i laughed softly, "i guess so." i said standing up and walking over to her door as i opened it, only to reveal jace and simon walking up to her door from down the hallway.
