A/N: The banner picture is Keira's outfit to the Mikaelson ball, minus the jacket cuz that's for after.

Keira, Finn, Elijah, Kol, and Rebekah were all in the living room, getting ready for the ball their mother had planned.

"Rebekah, tell me how handsome I am!" Kol said, looking at himself and his suit in a mirror.

Rebekah, who had a butler compelled to paint her nails, looked up. "Oh, Kol, you know I can't be compelled." Finn smiled.

Then the storm entered. "You went after Elena?" Niklaus said, storming into the room. "Do you want another dagger in your heart?"

"Again with the dagger threats?" Keira asked, smirking.

"Don't you have any better tricks?" said Kol.

"No, Kol. But you're in my house," Nik said. Keira rolled her eyes.

"Then perhaps we should go outside," Kol said, before Esther entered as well.

"Enough!" she exclaimed sternly. "Niklaus. Come."

"Honestly!" Kol said.

"That's just part if being an Original vampire and a member of the Mikaelson family. You're born, you get turned, and then, once or twice over the span if your immortal life, you piss off Niklaus and he daggers you for a few decades!" Keira said. Kol shrugged.

"It still hurts like hell though."

"Yes Kol. Yes it does."

As Nik left with their mother, no doubt to complain, Rebekah stood.

"I'm going to go invite Elena's ex boyfriend as my date," she said. "Brb!"

"What is, B r b?" Finn asked.

"Be right back," Rebekah sighed.

"I know you'll be right back, what does it mean though?"

Kol and Keira laughed at their brother. Then Kol sighed.

"Ok, Keira, since Rebekah won't do it, you tell me how handsome I am," he said. Keira laughed at her brother.

"You look handsome Kol! Almost like that pig we saw once when we were children, remember that?" she blew on her nails.

"Come on, sister, if you're going to insult me, do better."

"I would, but I don't want to hurt you. Remember when we were children, and mother told us not to burn trash? Just following that rule."

Later on at the dance, Keira and Nik were standing beside each other and talking. Keira wore her usual daylight ring and necklace, along with moon chain earrings, long, finger-less black gloves, a shoulder bracelet, a necklace with the Mikaelson family crest on it, and silver heels. Her curtain bangs hung freely over her hair, which had two braided strands pulled back and tied together over her curls. She wore a black dress, which was thigh length in the front and foot length in the back, the color matching her nails.

As a pretty blonde girl wearing a blue dress walked in, Nik began to stare.

"Who's that?" Keira asked. "She looks tasty."

Nik rolled his eyes. "Maybe at one time, but she's a vampire now. That's Caroline Forbes, I invited her earlier."

"You gave her everything she's wearing, didn't you."

"Yep."

"Ten bucks says she'll reject you."

Caroline walked over to the two. "We haven't met. I'm Caroline."
