Meri's POV (about time):
Sia and Splinter have been gone for two days now, and things are getting weird. Patrols say they have found many intruders, the main ones being g Depression, Drugs, Phsyco, Hypnosis, and Greediness. Most of the patrols have come back with horrible wounds, but some managed to escape with minor wounds. It's nerve rocking really, and the worst part is that some of the states have gone missing, such as Geor, Ylan, Rode, Illi, Wiscon, and Michi. So I'm not only stressed, I'm also worried and panicked! I have a feeling it has some thing to do with all the intruders, which only infuriated me even more. I felt angry, stressed, and miserable, which ment I was an emotional reck.
I was at the moment crying into my pillow, upset and stressed from all that's going on. I had send patrols out about an hour ago to search for the states, knowing I'm not mentally able to search without breaking down into an emotional mess. I just say there, my eye patch slightly lifted from my head, that is, until one of the patrol units came rushing in.
"America! We were given this scroll by the intruders and they said it was for you to read personally." Said the young firefur dust fur mix. I gave a quick now before opening the scroll, anxious of what was awaiting to be read...
'Dear Meri Americano,
I have your missing little monsters you call Pups, me and my army are prepared to fight you and your army at dusk. You simply have 4 hours to collect your pathetic excuse of a life and meet me at the battle fields...
Failing to show will lead to your oh poor little states to be slaughtered.
I await my revenge for what you've done.
P.s. - I know your king and fellow deputy are gone, so you mine as well show up or ill destroy you and all those pathetic flees you call citizens...

I reread the letter again, each word stabbing me with anger and fear, this was not only a threat letter, but a letter declaring war on the kingdom. I imitately look at the guard from the patrol, his face seeming concerned. "You need to collect all the soldiers we have, they have declared war on us!" I said, slightly clawing at my tail flag. It was a nervous habit I had picked up when I was a pup. The soldier quickly nodded before running down the hall the the soldiers quarters.
I felt myself slowly sink to the ground, hot tears falling from my eye, or well, eyes. I still had my eye patch pulled up, but my hair fluff usually covered the eye patch. I began making broken hitched noises as I cried in the ground. I was afraid, afraid for not only my safety, but for the citizens safety, the soldiers safety, and my states safety. I sat like this for about 30 minutes, not daring to move. A soldier soon came and told my that all the troops were ready. I thanked the soldier before forcing myself up.
No matter how small I felt I had to stay strong for the army, my citizens, and my poor states...
