A year passed since the war and since she died only to come back to life as a vampire.
She had left forks a week after the battle as she needed to be with Caius.
He made her happy and alive and leaving him made her want to rip off her own head.

It was early as Feather sat ok Caius's lap during the trials so he could show her off to the vampires that only heard stories about the most powerful vampire in the Volturi and the soon to be Volturi queen once they had a wedding.
He proposed months ago which had to be the most perfect moment in her life.
She watched as a male vampire came in as he fought against Demetri and Felix.
"Roden Trevor, you have been reported to be seen killing your human mate.
For this you have been sentenced to death, how do you plead" said Aro.
"Please, I didn't kill her.
I swear, she was my true mate.
I could just her even if I tried" said the vampire.
"Lies," said Caius.
"Please, show me mercy," said the vampire.
Aro stood up and took the vampire's hand.
Feather looked at him.
She knew he was lying.
"You lie," said Aro.
"No, I beg you.
Let me live" said the vampire.
"Feather, what would you say?" said Aro.
Feather looked at him "I've seen you before" Feather said.
She gave her hand to Aro.
Aro took it "indeed you have, Jane," said Aro.
Jane used her gift causing the vampire to collapse.
"What should we do my dear?" said Aro.
"Starve him, once the bond sets in he'll drive himself crazy," said Feather.
"I adore you amore mio" said Caius.
She smiled before kissing him as Demetri and Felix take away the man as he created out hoping the kings would show him any kindness.
Now with Feather, all punishments were properly fitted to the crime.
She liked to make people suffer.
It was the only way to balance out the rage that she still had from being killed by a woman she couldn't fight let alone win against.
She laid her head on Caius's shoulder as the next vampire came in.
Then another and another until they were all dead or dying.
This was her new purpose.
Punishing those that needed punishing while standing by Caius for all eternity.
