Chapter 6: Gaster

A skeleton known as gaster sat on a chair reading a book as a drink of coffee sat on an end table, the cup had a pun with a single bone on it along with a note from sans. the note said 'happy first month on the surface better latte then never, right? -sans'

The skeleton smiled happily, equations and soul symbols. As gaster read the book reading to himself "the kingdom wanted a competition between the remaining wizards for right of leadership, in the end they chose-" The skeleton frowned slightly as he raised an eyebrow. "The rest of he page is illegible. Fascinating...I guess this should be expected from texts as ancient as these..."

The ex-royal scientist face went unamused as he continued to talk to himself, "Maybe if they were kept in better conditions-" A knock on the door is heard, causing gaster to look over confused yet curious on who would be here. "Guess I'll continue the reading later on." he spoke setting the book down, next some papers. "I should continue working on the core's expansion anyways."

gaster walked over to the door drinking his coffee as he opened the door to welcome the person at the door. Only for his face to turn into shock spitting out his drink, before looking awkward and a bit emberesed.

Jessica grey didn't look amused at all and is just flat out ready to go home. Betty put a hand on her mouth to try to hold in her lauphter, failing at it. Frisk just looked amused yet worried. Nightmare barked in greeting while error spoke.

"What's up Fu-" Error was about to say before frisk slamed his hand on errors mouth with a harsh look. "No." Nightmare barked also glaring at error.

They sat inside the house on the couch, with a tense atmosphere. Error desided to just sit on the ground as he started to use some yarn to make a doll er puppet bored out of his mind. "Sorry for showing up like this, but I wanted to show Miss grey how the expansion of the cores helps to power the city" Frisk explained to Gaster. "Yeah, yeah. It basically makes our electricity bills cheaper." Jessica responded looking away with a small scoff. 

"YeAh yEah. IT bAsIcAlLy MaKeS oUr EleCtrIciTy bIlLs CheAper" Error mocked miss grey trying so hard to mimic their voice. Ignoring the one who he mocked. who had just shot a glare at error who just smirked sticking out his four tongues at grey who just leaned onto the chair eyes wide? 'How does that child have that many tongues??!?!?! SENSE WHEN DO SKELITONS HAVE TONNGUES?!?!?!' grey spoke in shock. Nightmare tried not to burst out laughing finding it hard as he tails wagged a bit enjoying what error did.

Gaster ignored error and spoke. "Wha- No, no. This is much more interesting than that." This caught Jessica grey interest as she looked at Gaster who then started to explain. "If the expansion is completed you won't even have to pay for electricity anymore. Ever.  How things are working right now, you can see a clear change. And not only in the bills Miss Grey."

Jessica raised an eyebrow curious as her grey eyes looked at gaster. "Hmmm....how does this 'core' work exactly?" This caused a small rant about the core and what it does before going unamused when Jessica face went flat out confused, blinking not understanding a single word. gaster didn't look amused as he simply said "it makes electricity with heat" "ohhh I see" Jessica said simply.

Error snickered a bit at this. 'If you don't understand that, you won't even understand the multiverse stuff and more.' error thought extremely amused. Betty also blinked a bit not expecting that, yet also curious...honestly monsters didn't seem so bad...why did her creator want her to kill monsters.... whatever.

the two adults spoke to each other for a bit as gaster explained a bit more about the core. Jessica looked really interested and thought it would help people not only monsters, but humans as well. But that hope drained on what gaster said as he small a small smile half lidden. "But f course, none of that would matter if all the parties don't sign the agreement in the conference tomarrow"

This caused relization to jessica as she looked down with a bit of guilt, as she started to think on what the monster said to her. Error finished making four puppets....the puppets was blue,dust,killer,horrror...and classic...heh he really did miss them... sighing error stood up catching the others attention, nightmare didn't really notice for he fell asleep for how boring this became.

"Going for a walk." Error said simply as he left the room heading outside. "What's up with him?" Jessica asked confused not amused watching the monster child leave the room. "he probably having those moments on wanting to be alone..." Frisk said sadly. This caused betty to be confused. "Being alone for moments? What do you mean? Did something happened?" betty asked. the flower on betty head moved slightly, but no one noticed.

"..that's the thing. We don't know what happened." gaster jumped in. "Why did you not ask?" Jessica jumped in also curious, the talking about the core long forgotten.

"...we found him in the forest almost dead...the other that was with him, protecting him was nightmare that wolf over there.... they were the only ones there on that mountain other then these weird looking animals that hid in the shadows. We don't know about his past..." "Every time we ask...he freezes tearing up and leaves while nightmare follows after his own tears rolling down, yet gives us a harsh glare...what happened must've been very...horrible..." gaster explained causing jessica to pause looking where the child went...she also knew what it was like to lose someone...

"YOU GOT TO BE KIDDING ME!?!" "OH SHUT UP YOU UGLY BOBCAT!" the voice of killer yelled angrily. "DON'T CALL ME THAT! NOT MY FAULT I'M THIS TINY CAT! I'M ALSO NOT UGLY!!!" the voice of dust yelled back angrily. "...guys. Will you just shut up? I'm even smaller then you, but I won't even hesitate to leave you guys behind" the voice of classic spoke up extremely done with the two arguing creatures. "SHUT UP!" the two voices of dust and killer yelled.

 "...bye." was all the original sans spoke as a white cat with marking walked away. "NO WAIT UP!" "PLEASE DON'T LEAVE US! WE'RE SORRY!" A grey bobcat with a red scarf runs after the white cat along with a cheetah that had a rare coat pattern on them, but the cheetah wasn't even going as fast as they are able to, to not get ahead by mistake. "YOU GUYS LEAVING US BEHIND! WAIT FOR US- NO DON'T PICK ME UP! HORROR!!" the voice of cross yelled as a large deadly bird followed after the three cats, carrying something in his beak. 

"PUT ME DOWN YOU STUPID SOUTHERN CASSOWARY!" the voice of cross yelled angrily. Then a yelp is heard from cross before it went quite as the group walked calmly in the forest, before stopping seeing a familiar mountain. "mount ebott..."
