There was going to be a party tonight, but I wasn't in the mood. All that winning today wore me out. Instead I took a bath and laid in bed. Hoping to fall asleep early. That's when I heard a knock on my door.
"Come in," I projected.
It was Jeremiah. I was too exhausted to eye roll. "Alfie can we talk?"
I sat up. "About?"
"Us."
"There is no us you made that clear when you lied about having feelings for me, and then kissing Belly."
"I know I fucked up. And I want to make it up to you."
"Make it up to me? I don't care anymore. Go be with her and leave me the hell alone." And then his phone rang.
"Belly? What? I'll be right there."
"See," I said before he exited the door. "You'll always choose her, and you'll always be her saving grace." I turned around in bed not wanting him to see me break. There was a few moments before I heard my room door shut, and he was gone.

As time went on I got a facetime call from Jeremiah. Wonder what this was about. I answered the call, and seen his phone in some weird angle but I could see him and Belly kissing. He definitely didn't mean to call me, but I knew he had made his choice then.
And it was Belly. I couldn't cry anymore, so I just hung the phone up.
